Arrive at the Kanc by 11ish??
We can do the whole kanc or just half way like last year, it's up to you guys. I'd like to stop at the swimming areas with the rapids if nobody minds.
On the way back down the Kanc, we'll take a left onto Bear Notch Rd.
Right onto 302 at the end of Bear notch, then left onto 16N in Bartlett.
about 15 miles up on the left is the Auto Road.
Then the climb up!! It's fun and not scary at all. My girlfriend won't be going just because she hates the cliffs and won't go up the mountain.
Have lunch at the top.
Head back on 16S. Follow 16 into Intervale and take a Left onto Hurricane Mountain Road.

Everyone coming to my camp can follow me from there or go back to 16 over HMR again and head home. My camp isn't far from the road, maybe 30min.
Channel Loop Road, Hiram, ME;Hurricane Mountain Road, Intervale,NHZoom out on the map and you can see some points of interest, like my camp and Hurricane Mountain Road. I'll add more when i get the time.

If anyone has any suggestions, throw the out!! This is just something I threw together to see what everyone thought of it.

We did this cruise last summer and it was awesome! Is anyone up for it again? It might be kinda soon to ask, but i really want to go again! We did it in June of last year, i think, and it was the perfect. We met at the Portsmouth Traffic circle in the rain and headed up from there were it was beautiful and met up with some others on the kanc. From there we did Bear Notch rd. and then went to the auto road and were the highest subies in New England for about an hour. It really is a great drive with lots of scenery to check out. Afterwards we can head over to my camp in Maine, about 30 minutes from North Conway and have a BBQ on the lake and maybe do a little wake or knee boarding.

Anyone wanna go?? If not, i'm going alone!

I was on my way home from the Kanc. today and noticed saw a nice little go-carting place that might be fun to do before we start our cruise up the kanc. It's called White Lake speedway or something like that. It's an outdoor track and looks pretty big. I've never been there so i don't know how good the carts are but it looks fun. Would anyone want to to a couple laps in the morning??

It looks like June 2nd is going to be the date for the cruise seeing that nobody has said anything bad about it. So i guess everyone should plan on the 2nd and get the weekend off.

It should take about 25 minutes, right off Exit 15 go right.

There is a steak house on the right w/ ample parking.

Also, you could take the long and scenic way back onto 16 via Rt 11 - Rt 153, nice roads...

Also does everybody have walkie talkies? It's much better having walkie talkies on long trips with a lot of people so if someone gets seperated it would be easier to get connected again. I'm bringing 2 so I can give one out to someone else to use.

Also I saw there was mention of a swimming area? I'm not planning on stopping at the camp but if we are stopping at a place to go swimming that would be cool. I'll be sure to bring a bathing suit.

It takes about 45 mins to get to the liquor store where we are going to meet up with everyone else at 8:00.

The Steak house is just after the bridge when you get off on exit 15[you will take a right, the steak house is on your right], I don't remember what it is called [I will check on my way home tonight (Former Plumb Crazy Building)], but there is a motel right next to it and a gas station after it.

This should be ample parking, especially in the morning.

I don't think I am doing anything around 9, so I just might meet up w/ you guys at Exit 15.

Hay I wish I could do that too this week I'm trying to get the best quality as possible on to my computer but it's not. Well the video is uploading now on to googles server. It's going to take all night probably. The file is 602 mb and it's not uploading very fast.

This isn't the final video, it's just something Aaron through together so i could get something up by tomorrow. It's got some music in it where ever the audio sounds like crap so don't get mad if you can't hear the cars, because you couldn't hear them in the first place with all the wind noise. Next time we have to figure out a way to get the out of car shots without all the noise. Oh well, I'll post a link when it's ready tomorrow.

FTP's are easy, I have a program you can use that I can hook you up with. Its called cerberus and its a great tool for runnin FTPs. I have one set up on my computer, but dont have enough free space to have everyone throw their **** on my HD

I can configure it. I currently have a server running 24/7... not sure what kind of load it'll handle.. Right now it just runs a web server, app server, and database.

That is Hurricane Mountain Road. It's the road that i wanted everyone to drive down but nobody wanted too. It was awesome!! Next time we'll definitely have to do that road.

When we were heading down 16 and i left the group before North Conway is when i went down the road. Everyone was going to Terry's and I thought the consensus was that nobody wanted to do it.

It's a sweet little road. It'll fit 2 cars wide but it's very close and usually one car has to leave the pavement to fit by. There are some really sweet hairpin turns and some nice jumps too. I like doing the road in the other direction though, it seems to be more fun that way. I'd love to rip down the road, but it is public and there are always cars on it. So you have to be really careful cause there are a lot of blind spots.
