2010 Legacy

Not really new news.... but it has piqued my interest

The reason I left Subaru was because of their lack of innovative technology. I feel so spoiled in my Audi with all the little gadgets.

Here's my 2010 Legacy wish list (pay attention SOA) this in addition to what comes on the 2009

1. GPS available in all manual models
2. NO MORE 5 SPEED (6 speed and paddle only)
3. front and rear LSD
4. HIDs with road sensing lights (they move to help you see around turns, lower to keep you from blinding cars in front of you and raise and lower as you go up and down hills)
5. Under seat cubbies
6. autodimming/folding side mirrors
7. an automatic climate control that works
8. an ESP that is track tuned/more advanced
9. better suspension
10. less cheap looking steering wheel and steering wheel mounted controls
11. FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY PUT A GOOD STEREO IN THE CAR!!!! HARMONKARDON IS TERRIBLE!!!!
12. Make your pricing more competetive. A spec B is $36k a fully loaded Legacy or STi is 34k, so is a BMW 335i turbo well equipped, Audi A4 fully loaded, 328Xi fully loaded, Lexus iS250 AWD, MB C300... all of those brands offer free service for the first 50k, some even offer free service pick up! get the point?

I agree for the most part. I think what you need to remember is that the legacy is meant for more of a luxury sedan than a performance vehicle. I wouldnt expect a 6 speed only with paddle shift, any LSD's, or performance tuned anything. The spec B, well ya, that should get that stuff. The rest of the list I totally agree with. Make the interior competitive with the other vehicles, I am sure they would sell even more.

Maybe it is just me, but I think it is BADA$$!! needs actual mirrors though. Its funny, everyone complained about the 08 WRX because it was toned down. Now Subie throws out a wicked and wild concept and everyone is like.. Don't like it! They should probably just play it safe and build the same thing over and over agian. :lol:

Personally...I like what the current Legacy looks like...make a few minor changes on that and you've got a damn good looking car IMO.

From what we've been told, it is supposed to be a cross between a Toyota Avalon (size wise and a little looks too) and the current Legacy.

I think if it looks like the photo....it'll be badass!:D

Don't fret. This is a crazy one off prototype. the showroom cars will be much nicer and a little less crazy I'm sure. At least it's getting a little bigger inside for those that want to move up. And hopefully they will either bring the Impreza back down and add a new mid size( i don't call the Forester the mid point anymore with the 09+'s) or add a new AWD pocket-rocket like the first gen Imprezas.

I'd be amazed if the new legacy came with touch screen window controls like in that picture.

It also shows a ton of technology... me thinks subaru is bluffing.

Every other car in the line has the technology of a 1995 acura, why make the Leagcy different?

Since retro is in, how about a "Legacy DL FE Brighton" complete with a tach blank, manual windows & locks, 4-speed manual, analog AM radio, Brat t-tops, and a carburetor. That's a car a New Englander would be proud to own. :)

I have the latch in my Legacy too I like it... I was talking about Randy's Audi latch, he was having a little problem with it in the cold that morning as i recall:D
