Is reporting a loss in sales
Probably has something to do with the fact that Subaru owners on average have 80% disposable income.

Subaru owners are more loyal than people who make 100K or more are to MB or Lexus

I know what you mean, theres an older lady that lives down the street and shes had the legacy wagons for as long as I can remember:lol:
once the car dies, she gets another one! I'd imagine thats how most people in NE are:)

value does not = price with the STi
It should be high 20's fully loaded considering what you get with it.

It's the Forester that is carrying the company right now.
They sell like hotcakes

The new forester is sick, thats why. If I were married with children, I would have one...
After a lot of thought the last two weeks, I have decided to keep my car. I was secretly, well one other person knows, thinking about getting a White Evo 9 that I had found. Only told Chris about it, but I think for cost issues at the moment (need to move my ass down to the secoast) I am going to keep the 06 and stop modding, well for the most part.

This community is like a cult. You get drawn in and it takes a while to realize that the cars are not amazing and magical like some would lead you to believe.

I still think they are great cars for what they are. They arent the most effecient when it comes to interior designs, but to get my car for 20K, it blows anything else for that price range out of the water, IMO. I know the new cobalt is supposed to be a good car and the ms3 is as well, but I would take suby looks and time leading the industry for this style of car over anything else. It is a huge community though, which draws people in like crazy.

It's all about the pricing.
If it wasn't for the forester Subaru would be down too.
Subaru also reduced the price for the 2009 by almost $4,000.00 from the price of the 2008's.

The foresters? Wow, they are sick man I really do like them. So what is the base price on a base model at right now? Hm, IF I was working there I wouldnt have to ask. :)

'09 Forester X is around $22,5k.
Forester X Premium is the one to get: Huge moonroof & alloys, cold weather pack is about $23,8k sticker. Not a screaming bargain, but good value compared to the competition.
Note that there are a couple of 2008 Forester XTs around with manual shift, cloth, moonroof, and very low miles for $24,9k at a couple of dealers. *drool*
Anyone read the MT SUV of the Year article on the Forester? Pretty well done, amazingly.

I personally love the legacys as well...They come pretty well loaded and come with decent performance for their price range..

This doesn't suprise me. I work car audio for a living, and to hear the GM people come in and say I want a new deck for my car then find out that GM added other things into their wiring to cut cost only to have the customer pay $150 for the special harness just to put a deck in.......
Subaru hasn't changed their harness's from 93-07 :)

I was hoping for a lot of older well owned foresters to come through the shop at work as trade-ins
no dice just a lot of jeeps on the way to auction
but new foresters keep coming off the truck......says something dosent it
