So who wants to make me a template?

Okay someone with a second gen rear suspension could you make me a template to drill the hole to fit a the tophats? My GF is getting a once over... like 50 onces at a time and for furture projects and easy I want to set it to be able to run the new suspensions. So if someone could make me up a template for the drilling the one hole I would much apreciate it as I'll be able to do everything now rather than later after I've put new paint on the car and stuff like that. No fun messing up good paint when I can do it now. Thank you to whoever can help me out.

I didn't miss spell once after the 50. I did misspell future and I had 1 run on sentence. So when did yhou decide to act like this is NASIOC? :unamused: While I probably should have worded it "50 once overs", I didn't. But yes she'll be getting too big in the future so I'd like to prep now while the car isn't on the road. :spin: That better explain it?

I believe, we are looking at the rear tophat on the decklid, he wants a sketch with measurements where the 3 holes are for the struttop. correct me if im wrong.

Some aftermarket coilovers or air ride systems are universaly produced, meaning they have no premade kits to bolt onto specific vehicles. That being said, he might have a really high camber or caster adjustment plates that require the notching or cutting of the tophats or he is getting hydraulics. lol

Well I think you are thinking of versions not generations Rob. The second generation Imprezas in the US are from 02-07. Gerneration being the base of tghe chasis used. Version would end up being each consecutive year of STi since it's introduction. We're about to hit Ver11 with the next STi if they even make one now that Subaru dropped from world rally.:unamused:

Rear tophat correct. The rear tophat for the 2nd gen is almost the same as the first gen(92-01) but rather than all 3 bolt being evenly spaced one is a bit further. So the other two bolts line up just not that third one.

I just need the new hole drilled to allow choosing from suspensions designed for 02-07 Imprezas to give me more options. Also going to add an aditional plate maybe 1/8" thinkwelded down with the hole matching ot give more support to the mount.
Just want to be prepared for the future as I"m adding a good bit of weight from my powerrtrain/drivetrain swap and will be doing a lot of other work to the chasis that any added options and support will help. I think I'll end up putting added stress on the car so I'll do some of the work to support that now. All I need is just someone with a peice of cardboard or something to poke the holes so I can line stuff up do drill.Thanks for any help guys.
