I like WYW, just try something new. I just think its the central most location for people to meet at, especially people like me coming from the lakes region. Once it is consistently nice, BBQ's all the time up here at my place. I can accommodate about 8 people here over night with something to sleep on, but I have plenty of floor space as well. When its nice we can call ahead at Johnsons and eat at the picnic tables, I can hook it up. Parking lot there is huge and we could use the field to take some pictures. We also have a car show there every year and Im going to be in it this year, anyone else is welcome. No prizes or anything, just a big car meet basically. Let me know if you are interested.~ok~

I say Wing it, only because I know the owner and the wings are the best on the seacoast.

I know others want to drink so it usually doesnt get voted on.

We can all meet at Legends (my bar) the only issue with that is parking is a biotch.... we wont be able to all be together. The upside is that I can get us a discount on catering and reserve a whole section of pool tables. Im thinking $15 a person for a buffet and pool.

Personally, as it is last minute, I would say new China Buffet.

Ok cool I am in now, just got an 8 day vacation from work starting at 4 tomorrow. So, let me know where the meet is, and Ill be there. Get something figured out today so people dont get pissed off, cause you know they will.

this is why its getting frustrating for some of us... no one knows where to meet bc the OP is not closing the poll or updating the original post.

next week ill post the meet...and be suer to close the thread wednesday.... some people hae other things in their lives they have to schedule around... and not knowing where the meet is until the day of is pretty irritating...

Why the hell did you put poll and then ask "so where are we going?" if the poll obviously shows majority wanting to go to "Wings Itz". If poll doesn't affect the venue where the meet ends up taking place, then why have a poll?

That is one of the reasons I didn't come last time because I logged on to forum at 4 o'clock, browsed through the meet thread, realised nobody has a clue where the meet is, so I realised the meet wasn't gonna take place. And with everything that happened at work I just decided it was too much for me to deal with.

I guess I am missing a part of a puzzle and someone will have to explain it to me.

Ya, I hear that. I can understand why people are getting mad with the lack of structure. But everyone, realize it is hard to organize a bunch of people, and we usually do figure it out. Its not too often, or hadnt been, that we decided last minute. last week was the only real week that was on the sketchy side, and ya know what, we figured it out. The event of a repeat though, which looks like it is happening, sucks. We need to be on top of this ****, or just have someone else be the OP. No offense to anyone, but it takes a few minutes to update the OP and set the time and place. LEts just get it done before the meets stop.

If you are unsure of the meet place dial your phone. That is what I say. We are a community. Just dial you cell phone to someone you think might know. If they don't dial another. You will find out unless there is not one. If that is too much work then screw the whole thing. It has been well organized a few times but some of you have to relize. These are informal get togethers. Before forums it was word of mouth... Point being...Dial the phone!

It's right next to the Meineke shop on Route 1 in portsmouth. If you're coming from the Traffic circle heading South on Rt. 1 it will be on your right just you reach the V.I.P. store that is on your left.

If you're heading North on route 1 then go past the Wal-Mart and it will be just after the Meineke shop on your Left.

I won't be there unfortunately but if I can talk my co-worker into coming in early next friday I could could make it then. Of course I'll still be in my uniform haha.

overall, i still prefer wyw cuz of the booze and the location. i also managed to spend 23$ on 2 wraps and frys. 23$ at wyw would have bought me 3 wraps and 2 pitchers proably at wings

I thought they were alright, not as good as WYW though. I thought that the batter on the chicken was too thin and grainy, almost like it was too thin when they breaded it. It was cool chillin outside though, which we could do at WYW also, plus have some brews. So, IMO, Wings Your Way is better but Ill just go with the flow and go anywhere for the meets. ~bbq~ <---- I say its time to BBQ soon!

I just bought a big *** smoker too... can smoke a ham and a turkey at the same time.. maybe when it comes in I can pick up a bunch of racks of ribs and have people over.

I have tons of room for a BBQ meet at my place. Ask Nate, I could seriously fit 20+ cars in the driveway area alone, and probably another 10-20 out on the street. Cars in the driveway could be there for doing work if work was going to be done that day.

I also have a grill and a hibachi grill. Both have been around the block a little and I should probably order some new cooking surfaces for them, but overall they work.

Also have the stove/oven inside for any other items to be cooked. The only thing I'm lacking is something to create shade so if it were on a hot day people might be angry. Some E-Z Ups could solve this if anyone had 'em.

Just a couple minutes across the river from Portsmouth in Kittery. Perhaps will plan something for mid June when I expect to have some weekend time off.

As soon as I get my schedule for June I will post a poll/thread up if people would be interested in coming over to my place.

EDIT: I'm also lacking chairs. Other then the 6 wood dining room chairs I have and a directors chair, I have no beach type chair so others would need to pitch in.

Funny thing is that it's not even a parking lot. It's just the way my landlord paved the drive way. Basicly it was paved to reach the first house on the property but then he built another house for himself about 50 yards up the hill. Since he drives a large box truck for a living he decided to widen the driveway to double the size it was before.

Like I said, once I get next months schedule, or at least an idea of what it's going to be I'll post up and see what we can come up with for plans.
