So most know that I have been looking into the PLX device guages for quite some time now. I am really torn as to getting these or something like a prosport electric premium guage. I love PLX because their features are amazing, but IMO they have got to be the most ugly faces to choose from of any guage. I even looked at their website for the downloadable faces, and still think those look like ****.
I guess my question is, that for once I am worried about the looks of something on my car, should I not be and get what is probably the best guages to hit the market, or go with something that will actually match the inside of my car and get prosport?

i've never heard a good thing about prosports gauge yet so i would stay away from them and i'm going with the maddad gauges myself

i have the maddad clarity in my car and its good. matches the the interior well. just dont get the sender unit wet in the motor bay, you will be hitting 30psi while idling.lol

PLX!

make your own gauge face if its a problem, or just leave it be. I leave the 4 parameter read out constantly, its jsut four lines. EGT, boost, AFR...something else.

you dont need to see the gauge individually, that is the whole purpose of buying the all in one gauge, right?

I personally like the matching look. I do know Brian has had a couple issues with his gauges. Its alot of money not to be happy with them

Here (http://www.plxdevices.com/products/dm100/) is the link for the PLX, Here (http://prosportgauges.com/green_white_performance_gauges.aspx) is the link for the Prosport. Remember I have an 06 WRX interior so green backlit instument panel, and the guages will be located inside of there.

Why is no one being helpful besides like three people on this?

That Greddy system seems like it might be the way to go. Plugs direct through OBD2, has every reading you really need from a guage, and is way cheaper then getting PLX with each unit for readings.

I don't know the price on it though. I mean I have read from several PLX users that they are great gauges...but the greddy is just another option.

Nevermind it doesnt read boost. Here (http://greddy.com/featured/InfoTouchVol1.pdf) is the chart with what it actually reads, not that impressive. Its 335 + shipping on NASIOC at the moment.

OBDII reads boost...but it is calculated, not a direct measurement.

Right, its basically the same readouts that I can get from my AP. I am looking for something else. See, I have the autometer guage pod for the instrument cluster, the same one as Jonny Rockets. I am torn because if I get PLX, I will only need one guage, but have two spots for them. Then, if I get two prosports, I'll want more than just two readings. I am thinking this, get the PLX DM-100 with the boost piece, then get either the innovate WB or the PLX WB for the other hole.

i have a great idea, get the plx dm100 with obd. Then get the smafr kit, it is also dm100 but you get the boost reading sensor for free.

i recommend you send an email to plx devices, they have awesome customer service and im sure they can bargain with you if you buy 2 display modules they throw in a sensor. try it.

if youd like, you can do 1 gauge and we can make somthing on your dash or steering column gaugepod. I have no glassing projects atm. :)

If you use an OBDII tool get one of these and hide the connection behind the dash. Thats what I did with the StreetTuner
