Towards the end of last week I had several updates written up and just hadn't posted. Well with the week's end came a sudden loss of power and other utilities due to the ice storm that hit New England states. Thus, I'll sum up my un-posted updates into a single thread for your reading pleasure!
Subaru of America has announced (http://www.subaru.com/common/news/article_details.jsp?cat=current&fileName=news2008. xml&date=20081205) it plans on bringing several models to this years North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, MI this coming January. The current model lineup listed is:
Legacy 2.5i Limited 4AT-S
Outback 2.5i Special Edition MT5
Outback 3.0R Limited 5AT-S
Impreza 2008 WRC Replica Vehicle
Impreza 2.5i 4-Door Premium 4AT-S
Impreza WRX 4-Door Premium 5-MT
Impreza WRX STI 5-Door MT6 - Silver BBS Wheels
Tribeca 7-Passenger Special Edition
Forester 2.5X Premium with AWP MT5
Forester 2.5XT Limited with Navigation
They are also bringing an unnamed concept vehicle. The rumor has it that it may be the aforementioned Toyota / Subaru co-op vehicle. (http://wrxfanatics.com/blog/2008/11/subaru-toyota-love-child-rwd-couple-as-scion-tc-in-us/)
Up next...word on the street is Subaru may be considering bringing back it's front wheel drive Imprezas--to Europe at least.

Autoblog (http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/05/rumormill-subaru-considering-fwd-impreza-for-europe-turbocharg/) is reporting that Subaru is planning on bringing a 1.5L turbocharged front-wheel drive Impreza to European markets. Not quite sure how this is going to affect it's image of an all wheel drive manufacturer, but I can definitely see it helping spread it's cars to areas where AWD isn't really needed.
Things should be back to normal now that the power is back on and I appologize for the delay!
