i have decided to share my project to you guys so the rest of the members can stay updated on VTBoost's up and coming Supra... i am at a stand still for a few days on the project so i decided to start this thread and get caught up on my progress... so here we go...

Now the block and head are out at the machine shop getting cleaned up... i am waiting for the block and then im starting the process of assembling!!!!

I've always heard (rumor) that a single, larger turbo is more desireable in this particular car.

^you will usually find larger hp numbers with a larger, single turbo on the supras. i'm pretty sure there wont be one under 1,000 hp in the next couple years because they're so easy to get those numbers from them

lol not right after the swap... i need to break in the motor:lol:... and i only have one wheel drive as of now :( so unless that changes then no burnouts :( and if i get my 18s and ni$e rubber, i dont know how much of that i will be doing... but i will take a rematch on the highway :devil:

thanks i have been through a lot for this car and now things are going great!!!! any one of you guys are welcome to stop in and see the project as long as im home, and when i get the block back.... NEW PARTS ARE COMING IN! in the mail are full bearing kit, full gasket kit, ARP main studs and ARP rod bolts... i also got a full fuse box harness for a USDM twin turbo since my fuse box is missing one pin and two wires... but i decided to get the whole thing!

Ed im weird with wires.... i like it... i can show you the ropes and we can spark **** too its really fun!!!! blowing up speakers in wall outlets is awesome!!! we need to hook VTBoost up with some 4 channel amps and some nice speakers!!!!

i wish there was updates to give... :( block still is away and i havent got my bearings yet... i did however find a guy that will take my half harness and make a plug and play harness to fit my car... and its gonna cost my about 700 with shipping included... im also trying to get all set up for carbon work... i got a new VVTi oil control valve but i dont think its the right part so im gonna go back to toyota and discusse that with them... if i dont hear anything on my block im calling on monday cause it doesn't take 2 weeks to clean a block...

heads? :confused: i thought i only had one? but he made a comment like i would be ready for it next weekend so i think he might try for that, but i hope not cuz i dont have the cash for that now... im working mad hours now and have no spare time to paint and this christmas thing threw a wrench into my plans financially and time wise so we will see how things go and it might not get painted till mid january if work picks up like its said too but that will be good as i wil have more money for more parts... oh and i talked to a guy over in the UK that has a VVTi tt 6speed and he has an intake, exhaust, boost controller at 16lbs and a FIC... he is putting down 383 to the wheels.... i like that a lot!!!!

thanks man, the paint came out SUPER glossy and i LOVE IT! too bad its a motor block and i wont be able to look at it once shes in the car :( , but it will look sik on the stand for the next 3 months :D

just a little update.... i think the parts cleaner eat through the finish on my pistons so i will be buying a new set of OEM pistons :( this will delay the bottom end from going back together another few weeks... :( :(

im waiting on a call back from the company Pat. the technical support says its good for all metals, and that it could be because they were left in the cleaner for too long :( hopefully a call tomorrow will let me know for sure ill call or text you

ordered new pistons yesterday :( i think i would have been talked into it anyways but just stinks to have it happen this way... hopefully i get them by Tuesday and will spend Tuesday putting the bottom end back in, and i stopped by the machine shop and he was working on my head!!!! he said he should have it done by Friday but that dont matter cuz i wont have the money to pay for it until i get paid again in another two weeks...

so i finally got my ARP hardware... not sure why it took so long, maybe they make them to order? but its here now...

yes they are the same, exactly the same. and this is going down on Tuesday!!!! you are more than welcome to come over... i will try to put it off as long as i can but dont know how long i can wait:devil: i have to pick up some assembly grease and plastic gauge so if i start at like 3 maybe it will all be done by 9? :spin: i only need a water pump and power steering pump and the motor can fully go back together along with head bolts :eek: which i should order tomorrow cuz it will prolly take until April until i get them :unamused:

haven't got the pieces as of now... job hunting is going ok, put 2 apps into Markem and UNFI, im putting one in to C and S as soon as i get it... im also working at the City today for an 11 hour shift and im going to try to get as many hours as i can before they close the doors for good... i will let you know as soon as i get those parts and then the fun begins! the turbos should be here on friday so if i get my parts then, friday will be a very busy night :D

oh and i finally picked up carbon so now i can start winter project #5 lol this will help on down time from Jesse when im waiting for parts or money... on that note i will start a new thread about my carboning and would like to offer the service out to any of you that want something wrapped... i only needed maybe 2 yards of it and i had to buy at least 4 yards so i have extra and i will do it for a very small fee but i do need to make some money and get some moey back for the carbon as well so hit me up in the thread i make later or shoot me a PM with pics of what you want done

thats all i have now.... im going to try to get a rebuild kit for my turbos or save up and have someone else rebuild them and now im going to switch tracks and focus on my carbon fiber as if the swap isnt ready in time for summer i still need a dash to drive my car so i will be picking up on that this week and this weekend... i will post up those pics to in this thread

update! just talked to Grant from turbo kits.com and hes gonna hook my stock turbos up with a nice rebuild kit, bore out the compressor and bigger internals!!! all for cheaper than the other guy was going to just rebuild them for!!!! im gonna be talking to him tomorrow for a final price and product!!!

and we got the vacuum lines figured out at Jesse's so now we hide them and go for a cruise! lol jk

BTW when i disconnected the exhaust on my car i took note that it was really friggen skinny like an inch and a quarter maybe, all i can think about is like jesses 4 and a quarter inch exhaust:D

yea im super beat... i dont have a day off and i fill my nights up... money should be coming he asked me yesterday if we wanted cash or a gift card and i told him cash so i should have some for ya soon... worked on my dash a lil bit tonight and it got cut short due to my dad being a complete ****ing *******....

not at all.... i have all this big garage space and im stuck dong my carbon in the basement...:unamused: which means woks stops at 8-830 when my dad comes inside and i cant even be down there where he goes to bed right after he comes in....

yea i fixed my broken valvue cover and painted it.... thats about it, but imy parts are in so i will be able to put the bottom end on now and seal that ***** up! i also decided on a paint for the intake but you will have to wait and see what that is after i do it :devil:

i have also decided to go with twin GT28s for a turbo setup so i will be painting the ones i have now and runing them this year if i ever find an ECU....

so i would be laying carbon now but i messed up my inventory and ran out of brushes :unamused:... so i started to do research and a stock ECU is not looking in the cards so i have emailed a guy about the FCON V-Pro setup and i think just added to the list.... this has now been changed to plain project and not winter anymore as i cant stay stock and dont have enough money for all the upgrades.... maybe next winter? and maybe 600whp?:devil:

update.... i have made great progress on the dash and cleaned up the intake.... i willl be painting the intake later tonight when my dad goes to bed so he dont mess it up... oh i almost forgot, you might want pics....
