I got a Blitz FATT Turbo Timer last week from a guy on neawd.com. Got a nice deal, and figured with the racing I do, and future plans for the car, i might as well jump on the deal now. I went ahead and installed the same night, and it wass VERY easy, once we figured out where the 4 plug harness was! I was lucky enough that the original owner of the unit bought the subaru harness, so it was all plug and play, with no splicing invovled. So, if anything, this is the EASY version of install for the TT. Also, pics were taken with the Iphone as the point and shoot was dead. so sorry for the poor quality on some shots.

Tools Needed:
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Flat Head Screwdriver
- Scissors
- Electrical Tape
- A second set of hands is always nice, especially when theyre as pretty as dungelmans, as youll see.

Step 1. First, remove the lower dash panel by removing the plastic screw located by the door panel and the two metal screws at the very bottom left and right of the dash piece. It should fall down like in the picture below.

2. Remove the upper and lower steering column covers. The bottom comes out first, and is easy to get off, it just requires a little bit of tugging to get the pins out of the top piece. The top piece is a little more tricky to get off. There are two screws with the heads pointing directly at the floor that must be removed, after that, the top piece comes right off. It is a pain to get back in, unless you remove the instrument dash outside panel, just so you are aware.

3. Locate the 4 pin harness for the ignition module, it is located in this position in my car, and I have seen other pics with it in other locations, but always on the lower left of the dash. Here is what mine looks like.

After locating the harness, plug the TT harness into the harness coming from the firewall, and plug the ignition module into the other clip on the harness. Then, ground the two black wires that were supplied to a good grounding area. I picked the same place that the box got mounted (coming up in next step). Pic Below! Simple!

Note: There are TWO grounding black wires, they can be grounded to the same spot, but since there are two mounts like that, I used both!

4. Then, plug the harness into the control box, which is the greyish box that comes with the kit. Find a good place to mount the control box. Mike and I picked this spot, which looks like some sort of brace underneath the steering colum covers. The top pick was the mounting solution, and the bottom pick if this wires all taped together to keep clean and from getting in the way of any control pedals. There is also a purple grounding wire that they want grounded to the emergency brake handle, but I didnt use that as I dont use the parking brake during race days for obvious reasons, and I still wanted the TT to work even when the car didn't have its break on. I just used one of the grounding spots for the two black wires.
Here is a pic of the Control Box mounted with everything hooked up besides the display module:

Now that everything is properly connected, time to try it out! I didnt put the panels back together until I knew everything was working properly. I crossed my fingers and turned the key! Fired up no problem, with the voltage meter coming right up like it was supposed to, then going to automatic timer mode. There are many different modes to suit your needs, and I am sure every Timer is set up differently so I wont get into that. Here is a shot of the display module in its final resting place! It even matches the subaru dash really well, which I like!

Thanks and hope this is helpful to those that ever get one and install on their own!

I think Terry put PLENTY of money elsewhere on his car. It's pretty well modified by now. Same with RCKSTR, but you should know that by now.

I'm currently attempting to install my HKS turbo timer, which I had lying around - so no flame!

But I haven't located the some what elusive blue clip.

I have only taken off the lower steering trim, so perhaps if I take off the upper I will find it...

Also, thanks for the fuse box pic, I was wondering where that was...

Cheers,
