the mud was in my 'backyard' (we have 60 acres).

woot played for over an hour tonight in this fresh snow, did some trails in the snow too, when thru this sketchy iced over mud hole, which is wicked rutted, my truck takes a few seconds to go through it 2wd, so the car would most definitely get stuck if i broke thru the ice.

i took that pic just for you guys, cuz i knew any one of you could identify it :D i actually came from rt 2, i have no idea how my car got pointed that way it is in the pic tho?!

i didnt sleep last night.. so i left for school an hour early, hit the carpool lot here in c-town, drifted every corners thru the falls, donuts at neighbors, drifted down Old G, drifted the rotary, f'ed around main st. federal st high st, went to school--(where i dont f' around anymore, ala campus security politely asking me not to.)--drove UP old g in the snow an hr later, rt 2 was all melted by that time :( check my facebook for all the blurry pics.

I got a few donuts, maybe an axis spin or two in, but the summer breeze that was going on tonite made quick work of anything that was left around.

road report:

things start to ice up very quickly at about 1000 feet elevation, its a mix of mud and ice on dirt roads, and the paved roads are still very icy despite sand (heath, ma elevations 1000-1700).

at my house in c-town, 500 feet ele, the only sign of ice is on my truck which hasnt seen salt this winter.. subie is frozen from driving around.. my driveway is not frozen, nor is route 2. 500-1000 has a few ice patches. state is salting route 2.

temp is 36 degrees.

honestly i've never done donuts at the top of old g.. theres a million spots to go buck wild, between my house and there, so i'm all donutted out by then, and just wanna drive and drift.

ed after u left my house last night, i checked the thermo, it was 53, when u got to my house--you were too cold to stand outside.. so yea, it was like a 20 degree change in the time u were here.

Well, someone did donuts there already tonight. Pretty sure in a Subaru from the pattern of the tracks.

Someone also ran over a very large "branch". I was skidding and managed to put my tires through the two spots where they had hit it. The branch was still big enough to whack my undercarriage a little on the way over. Sucks for someone.

i drove over a dozen branches tonight in heath.. and speaking of---my power just flickered--ut oh.

and me driving over branches dosent mean much, cuz as you can imagine, i drive over downed trees up to 6", on the trails..

I did actually do some donuts at the top of og tonite, lol. i hope they were mine you saw, that would be sweet. I just came up it again, at 4:30 am, that road is a mess, 4inch limbs down everywhere, and its like 2-3 inches of slush, bad traction, but not the fun kind.

i am.. i have 143 pics.. i had a goal, make it to my friend steph's house. 22News said access in an out of ashfield was blocked, and 112 was closed, and part of 116.. i know a lot of back roads, i finally made it.. SO MANY TREES, POWER POLES AND LINES DOWN IN THE ROAD.. like crazy amounts. crazy!

I had to drive under a tree hung up on power lines coming up OG last nite. I was like 2/3rds the way up, if I was closer to Greenfield, I would have turned around. Sketchy. I wish it would stop raining after every snow!!!

Andrew, your truck fixed? Brendan & I need a recovery vehicle on Sunday. That trail we took in the subies is alot harder right now, haha.

dude i drove under a milllllion trees on power lines today, and over a million power lines laying on the ground.. it was sketchy as hell at first, cuz in buckland people still had power, and thats where i encountered this first tree.. i didnt know exactly where the power was shut off.. but this one was buzzing.

I saw one car off the road. It was an older gentleman in a Jetta. Can't quite work out how he managed it as I was going ~50 with ease before approaching where he was and the conditions were pretty consistent.

yea i did 50 from charlemont to the state police barracks in shelburne. where i encountered traffic crawling at mofo 30mph! i put up with that till old greenfield, and decided i could pretty much maintain 30 on old g even unplowed--so i had a good old fashioned scary as hell drive down to gfld. :devil:

when i got home at 1pm today, i was soooo stoked to be done with today, (handed in 2 homework assignments i stayed up till 5am doing, and i had 2 accounting tests today, plus a huge marketing presentation)... so i decided to thrash the car behind the house-- needless to say, i needed quite a bit of momentum, and 3 tries to completely get up the hill behind my house.. and at some point i dragged the rear bumper, and completely ripped it off the body mounts and the rear of rusty wheel arches, on both sides..

i just ordered a welder last night, sooo looks like i have a project (welding some tabs onto the body for bumper mounting)..

We got at least half a foot down in the valley. Made the drive to work fun. Dorifto'd about half the parking lot to stop almost perfectly in an employee parking spot on the side of the building. Tried to get Nick to do some e-brake slides and reverse donuts when he left, but I don't think his Jetta was up to it. Or he just didn't feel like it.

i was going to buy the legacy suspension for my impreza, seeing how the rears in mine are SHOT AS HELL. but ed told me after he got it, that one of the rears was blown, i was very depressed about it too.

lift+no more rattling my teeth out=happy me. but now its sad me..

i was just thinking ed told me it was blown, so he could sell it to someone who he really loves.. ed doesn't love me :(
