yeah Im real stoked especially for that kind of price... I really am looking forward to stage II in january when I get the money together but a nice rumble should pacify me for a month or two. this will actually be the first car I modify for performance since i started driving. I always modded my ATVs and such, and did stereos in my cars/trucks... but no performance work

Now I am almost sure I want an invidia DP, but im torn on the UP. either going to just get a stock catless STi UP for cheap, or an invidia... anybody know if its really worth the extra money for the aftermarket UP?

NY is pushing 298 with a pro-tune on his stock turbo w/ AEM CAI, headers, UP/DP/catback & a few other goodies

Yeah that tune NY has is a pro-tune with a little bit more stuff then I will have when I go stage II, but i drove in his car with him and that thing puts a smile on your face

I went with a stock sti up-pipe and you can't beat the OEM fitment:D plus you can pick one up for CHEAP:spin: I've seen them go for $25-$75 bucks depending on seller.

I dont mind not passing 300. I was just saying I dont have a need to go past that on a stock turbo... even 280 would be nice for me

the stock STi pipes have a flex section? I wasnt aware of that... I'll have to take that into consideration. Maybe ill hunt for a cheap invidia, they arent a flex pipe right?

see right now im kind of feeling like the headers and an an AEM intake and a pro-tune should be another step down the road. If i get the UP/DP, AP with an off the shelf 93 tune, and I already got the AVO drop in filter, the silencer delete, and im in the process of running a tube from the hole where the intake silencer was down into the wheel well for more cold air... I feel like that will be a big enough jump for me...

yeah, i dont. I shouldn't even be buying anything for it. got the catback which will increase on the butt dyno...:D then ill pick up an AP so I can at least go stage I, I think ill be able to get the UP/DP so I can go stage two but i wont cross that river till I get to the bridge...:(

I also want to install my stereo that I have lying around from my Chrysler. I have the components with crossovers and a 200 watt amp, but my dad pulled the stuff out of my car at the yard for me cause I was at school, so he didnt get two of the 6 inch component woofers... or the remote gain control for the memphis amp for my sub... so i need to find component woofers, a memphis bass control knob/box, and buy a JL 3sixty.2 to keep my stock radio in there, and cables/fuses.


I have 2 6" component woofers, 4 tweeters, 4 crossovers, a 1.5 farad capacitor, a 500 watt memphis D class woofer amp, a 15" kicker solobaric L7, and the 200.4 Kicker ZX component amp...


I also have a set of orion 12s with a 600 watt kicker sub amp but i dont think im going to use them... in this car.

I already own 90% of it. just need two little 6" component woofers, the 3sixty.2 (to get the line outs for the amps) and like a 10 dollar woofer control knob...

its all really nice equiptment but cause its a few years old you wouldnt get crap for it if you sold it, but I know it will work for years without issue cause I never underpowered or overpowered my stuff. and didnt crank it past where it should go... actually the current setup goes louder than you will ever have a need to play it. thats not whats great about it, the clarity is soooo much better. Thats another winter project for me so before january is over you can hear it in the car...

i love the way the evo2 sounds on legacy's but i'm iffy on how it looks from the sides with the cans haning below the bumper. at least on your car it blends good with the color of the car. i was thinking about purchasing an evo2 but i dont know how bad the cans would stick out on my OBP

I know somebody with an 07 spec.B that is that darker diamond grey metalic. I will see if I can find pics of his but It looks good. you could also always have the cans done in a flat black or something, that would look hot on a OBP car. I personally think it would still look good. Most of my shots are taken from sitting at ground level to show the exhaust off. i dont think it sticks out any more than any other exhaust. the tips are actually off center so the muffler can have the small race can look without the really loud sound...
