Q. Do I need a valid drivers license to race?
A. Yes. You must have a valid state operators license. Learner?s permits are not acceptable for racing. All racers must show their license at the CredentialsBuilding.
Q. Can I race my street legal car if it doesn?t have a valid inspection sticker?
A. Generally, yes. New England Dragway tech officials conduct their own safety inspection. Most of the time we find a vehicle does not pass a state safety inspection because of emission requirements. We do not check those functions. We?re primarily concerned with safety issues like seat belts, tires and windows.
Q. Can I race if I?m under 18 years old?
A. You can race, but you must have a completed Parental Waiver Form on file with the track. Those are available at the track or you can call Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 4 PM and have the form mailed to you.
Q. Are mufflers required?
A. Yes. All competitors must use mufflers on Wednesday and Friday night, as well as all Sunoco Race Fuels ET series eliminators including Top, Modified, Street, Junior Dragster, Motorcycle, Top Bike, Quick Rod and Hot Rod.
Q. I moved my battery to the back of the car. Do I need to add any equipment?
A. Whenever a battery is relocated from its original position you must have an external disconnect switch (kill switch) that immediately shuts off all functions of the vehicle. The switch must be labeled as to function.
Q. When do I need to wear a helmet?
A. All racers are encouraged to wear a helmet in competition. Current IHRA rules require all racers, excluding motorcycles, running an elapsed time of 13.99 seconds or quicker must wear a helmet. Motorcycle riders must always wear a helmet. Helmets must meet Snell 95 or new guidelines.
Q. Can I ride in my friend?s race car?
A. Passengers, commonly called ?Co-drivers,? are allowed in any vehicle that runs 14.00 seconds or slower on Wednesday and Friday nights only. Co-drivers must meet the same requirements as the driver.

p.s. For those of you with American decease called 'ADD', who cannot finish reading the sentences that I write, I will repeat. I will race for title change when, I repeat WHEN, i get a car pro-tuned by Franz in KTR. Do y'all comprehend the words I am writing here? I didn't manage to pro-tune this past weekend. However, I will race even without pro-tune for fun. I will explain what I just said here in person if there are some misunderstandings. I will try to write as clear as possible in the future. Sorry for my bad English, I am still learning.

My best last year was a 14.1 @ 97 with a horrible 2.2 60' I had really bad wheel spin all night and was having to let off the gas just to get some hook up. RS2's don't like the cold very much.

13.3 @ 102.5mph, 1.9 60ft, picked up 23mph in the back 1/8th. the cars got a TON more in it. if we could combine georges launches w/ my shifting, i bet the car would lose another .4-.5seconds....easy.

CONSISTENTLY under .1s reaction time. (.087 and .088 respectively). i blew the doors off everything i went up against (including mr. hotshot, in the mustang "Bullit", who told me in the staging lanes his "whip" is an STi killer.

then it wheelhopped, hardcore (my 3rd run in it), and i think thats the moment it tweaked the TMIC bracket, and basically pulled the TMIC off the rubber coupler, = MASSIVE boost leak, and the car wasnt running right the rest of the night.

George: thanks for lettin me drive. i say you go to Franz, get it tuned, put down an easy 370wtq and run 11.50 (cause 11.49 = **** ton of safety stuff you'll be needing)
