What's every one use for track tires for either auto-x, drags, or road courses?
This was my first season to put my car on a road course, and I ran a set of Falken 215s, the old Azenis. They are dead now so I need to get a new set.
Post up your setups and reviews.

I don't have any yet but RE070's work great it seems. Later on I will pick up some hoosiers or something.

I use 225/45-17 Azeni RT-615's for auto x. I got them at about half tread life, and they work pretty well. Horrible in the rain and need a good warm up lap before the really start to bite. I wouldnt recommend the RT615's for regular street driving though, they really suck. They groove into every little crack and break in the road and you are constantly fighting the wheel to stay on the road. On highways you actually feel like you are sliding across the yellow lines when changing lanes.
I want to get some Hoosiers A6's or some Victoracers for next year, but it all depends on the wheel situation that I talked to you about last night. I might stay 17x8, and if I do, Ill try to get some 245/40-17's on the car. If I go 17x9, then I will get as wide as I can, which I am not 100% sure how wide that is!

used to run Toyo proxes :)
But do ya have any track experience on them? I think Mike had some on his car and autox'd with them. I dont think they are an aggressive racing tire, but I think there are a few model proxes, so maybe you had the R888's or something.

i had kdw2's last 3 seasons, and they were outstanding! i dont want to leave them next season but looks like i might go with Dunlop ZR1's 235's of course.

Ya they are. Im telling you for the price and what they are capable of, RT615's are rediculously great tires.
Kevin, Im sure you know, but expect to go through at least a couple sets of tires if you do a lot of track days this year.

Mickey Thompson ET Drags 24.5/8.0-15.
Great for drag racing but thats it. You can cut 1.4 sec. 60 foot times on them. I'll never go back to a street tire again. Anything with tread on it sucks.
