Mike is a great guy has tuned my previous 07 wrx with an 18g and it lasted till i traded it in ran strong...but as most know my motor blew a couple of months ago..a week from getting the motor tuned..the car was never tracked nothing you ask people from concord and i never beat on it...if it was just a rare thing and i was that small statistic that bit the bullet than it wouldnt be a bad thing but he doesnt want to help me out nor Enhance Street Perfrormance. He is a great guy and you can still go to him but im not. Im going to either XXTUNING aka EFI Logics or ICS tuning in conn. My friend had brought his sz55 06 sti to the Shop got tuned brought it up here and two days later it blew up..and the Shop drove a flatbed up here picked it up and rebuilt it with forged piston for just the cost of the pistons..unfortunatly they have a long line so i wont be getting there tune.. I would have like to recieve similar help from ESP. I am just posting this not to bash either ESP or Alliance Tuning but just to let people know my experience with them..

just a heads up, EFI Logics (chris) isn't at XX anymore. hes opened up his own shop in ct. and now hes got a roller dyno so he doesn't have to take the wheels off anymore and mount them to the dynopacks. I'm sure he love not doing that anymore:lol:

heres the link
http://efilogics.com/

quick question, what kind of EM are you running? just asking because efi doesn't tune open source. and thats what I use:(

When the car arrived it had a fuel leak and evap. leak causing it to be extremely lean. 17-18 AFR at idle unknown under load. The car was driven in that state for about an hour and 20 mins. I believe some damage could have been done then.

Once these issues were fixed the motor seemed OK, but we probably should have done a compression test after that lean driving state.

Its a bad situation for everyone, Ray is a really great customer, and I wish he felt differently. My main concern is always making sure these cars are safe. One tiny leak can cause a big problem!

Well the motor is getting torn down and machined tomorrow...Mike your a great guy maybe you can check out the map after I get my car back on the road because Im going to keep it with the 18g until spring..My new setup is overkill for my 18g..P/P heads, intake manifold, throttlebody, exhaust manifolds with new oversized crosspipe. brian crower 272 cams...and i havent order a meth kit yet but that too..

I was just on efi logics website and it says they now do opensource for subies. $450 for dynotune, same as AP protune.

My friend is selling a used coolingmist kit with a dds3. Yes, generally built engines require less timing across the board.

Mike tuned my car with the TD04 a couple times when he wass still up in concord, which I miss big time! I never had a direct issue with him, but I have heard all kinds of positive and negative things. I will continue to use him until he proves me wrong. Sorry to hear about this man, but this could not even have anything to do with Mike. Its always going to be the last people involved with touching your car that gets the blame. I am sure he knows that and it looks like he is trying to be as helpful as possible. I am sure he would love to do for you what the shop did for your buddy, but when youre not as big as other companies, its hard to pull those kinds of things off.

Good luck with the new build, looks like youll have a nice monster!

It was just a little upsetting because I've tuned you 4 times, by my count. 07 wrx (stage 2), 07 wrx (18g), sti (stage 2), and sti (18g), and you never posted anything. Then when something does go wrong, you post threads on here and nasioc and neglect to mention that you drove the car down under very lean conditions. Even told me that you boosted a little bit on the way down and it was hesitating.

Out of the hundreds of cars I have tuned, few have posted anything, because there not having any issues.
