heres a link to a site where you can get your estimated HP by using the weight of the car and also the 1/4 mile time
http://www.dsm.org/tools/calchp.htm

and heres a link for an estimated ET time aswell. only bad thing is it estimates for rwd:( but it'll give you an idea of what you're around:o
http://www.race-cars.net/calculators/et_calculator.html

Hope this will be usefull for some of you, its actually pretty accurate(for me atleast:D)

Using slips from last summer when I brought the SVX to the strip.

Run1(horrible I might add)
1/4 19.719 at 89.02mph (19.719@89.02mph)
Using the ET method, I come up with 96 horsepower
Using the Speed method, I come up with 205 horsepower

Run2(best of the night)
1/4 16.005 at 88.54mph
Using the ET method, I come up with 179 horsepower
Using the Speed method, I come up with 202 horsepower

Run3(vs a vette with a slipping clutch that did 17.007 LOL)
1/4 16.128 at 88.59mph
Using the ET method, I come up with 175 horsepower
Using the Speed method, I come up with 202 horsepower

Run4(last of the night
1/4 16.165 at 88.4mph
Using the ET method, I come up with 174 horsepower
Using the Speed method, I come up with 201 horsepower

So taking the averages the WHP numbers aren't that bad. Trap speed is obviously is more accurate.I can't wait to get the Impreza running to see what times I can get. Hoping to see 13's once it's running.

well i used the weight (3285lbs) and tried to match to around 270 hp which my car was around. so it said i could run a 13.4

does that sound about right?

you've got almost the same setup that I had when I ran 13.026 so I'm thinking you'd be closer to that than the 13.4:) well, depending on launch and track conditions.

Hmm I got two drastically different numbers.

One was 270, the other was 360. Something is amiss:shrug:
