Has anyone ever run with the Cumberland Motor Club? I met the autox chairman last weekend, was a really nice guy. He told us about the events they hold, usually in the Maine Mall parking lot, and they open the season at the Story Land parking lot. I plan on attending a few of their events next season including the Story Land one. :) They honor SCCNH memberships, so you get the discount, and its only 25 bucks to run against the 40 bucks for SCCNH (including membership). The main reason is CMC runs 100+ cars and we only run a max of 60 with SCCNH.
Just curious if anyone has experience with them.

Lord Bass and I ran with them circa 1999-2001(RIP, OOBHS course). Great group, no hoodlums or big egos.

Yup I have talked to a bunch of guys from their group. Really laid back and good guys. I have never gone because of the distance.

Its not that much farther than loudon though Nate. They race in Portland at the maine mall. I will be venturing up there this summer, as well as the kickoff race at Story Land.

Over an hour from my house. Loudon is less than an hour for me.
Same reason I don't go to Mass for trips. Too long of a ride.

Looking forward to mixing it up with some new clubs next year!!!
My dad and I have talked about buying a cheap ass L or something and making a club cr out of it. This would only be driven by those that got their asses up to the lakes to work on it and help fund it!

Nice, I cant wait to meet up with them. I met their Autox Chair and a couple other guys at the last event for SCCNH this year up in Woodstock, NH. Very nice guys. They said they typically see around 100 cars/event! Thats crazy, makes for a long day, but thats fine with me. :) Also, they are a little cheaper then the SCCNH events due to the larger numbers, and they also honor the SCCNH memberships for their club discount.
