this threads for when someone has an install coming up that they might need some help with. Anything from turbos, injectors, pumps, exhaust, suspension, or even a Motor we've done it all and we're die'n to do more:D
come winter time I've got access to a heated garage so post it up:)
If you need some help finding certain parts for your setup I might also be able to help you with that aswell. (maybe do a little custom work:devil:) we do that from time to time:spin:

Ya, and I've got to take off the sti injectors and turbo inlet so you can do your install:lol: I'm also taking out the up-pipe, VF, turbo back, fmic, and blah blah blah.... then sell everying to buy the...:devil:

I've got to change out some of the brake lines, put in a new wheel cylinder in the rear, new shoes and combo kit, and also fix the front superwinch hub locks that weren't installed correctly by the previous owner:unamused:

and ed, you're giving some good hints. going from green to white, clutch install, and F. I'm thinking its a oldschool with a 5speed clutch problems with F being the chassis code. how close am I? hmm

And, I don't imagine they are fun, but you should have lots of practice after heaths car, right. LOL, I know people who have turbo swaps down to 3 hours. When you blow 4 of them, you get lots of practice.:rofl:

well it all depends on if you've got access to a garage or now. its a no go for my place since my garage is now my appartment:lol:
we usually do the big jobs at my grandparents house since they're gone for the winter. just can't use it all the time since my uncle uses it to work on his trucks & equipment. and my garage days will be at dans place for the next 5 months:lol:

It is the TurboXS TMIC. I already have the TurboXS UTEC engine management and i did some research and found a tuner down in Conn. that i might have do my tune because he is recomended by TurboXS as the best UTEC tuner on the east coast.

Longhorn sounds like a good idea to me for wednesday.

My grandfather has a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am special edition with a 428 and a T-10 tranny that he has been restoring to mint condition since before I was old enough to remember. The car is perfect, all it needs is a new clutch which brings me to my idea. My mom and I are going to split the cost of a clutch for his Christmas present, normally he would do the work himself but he is getting up there in age and doesnt feel comfortable doing it. As an added christmas present I would love to install the clutch for him but would definatly need some help. He told me its extremely simple (drop the drive shaft and take out 4 bolts and the tranny is off). He has a heated garge with every tool imaginable and my grandmother is an amazing cook and would feed all of us and I would be willing to supply the beer for the project. Give me some feed back either way.

We are getting him a Center Force clutch because they have the best selection for his car. I want to get him something that is driveable but also something that can hold up to the 450 hp that the built up 428 puts out.

a sanding drum on a dremel tool works much better than a grinding bit when delete'n/porting the TGVs. and also, need more sanding drums:lol:

I havn't updated this for a lil while, lately the garage (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=25267743#) days have been happening pretty randomly I guess. today I installed my harnessbar, yesterday Heath, Pat and I took apart the sti block I just got and found out that 2 of the pistons had cracks, day before that we started putting back together Pats 2JZ motors bottom end... we've been uber busy just havn't planned out any of the installs/tear downs haha

soon enough I'll be BUILDING the sti motor, taking out my old motor and putting together everything to re-install back in the car. same thing for pats motor but hes a lil further ahead of me right now. and last but not least, we'll have a 06-07 motorswap coming along going into a bugeye outback sport!!!

Plus I will be able to leave it there while I am porting the tgv's and doing misc. stuff and he has an extra car he gonna let me use. LMK if you wanna hang out/help because I havent done more to the car than just change the exhaust and could definately use some experienced hands haha.

They live in Rindge. You guys could come to my house in p-town and ride with me if you wanted since you would go by it anyways and it would save you some gas. I have the TurboXS UTEC which has a base map for my set up online that I can download onto the car and that will hold it over untill I get it tuned. I havent made an appointment to get it tuned yet because I wanted to see if there some of us who wanted to get tuned at the same time.

Haha yea the goal is to make sure it stays running :lol: vf39, pink injectors, up pipe, TMIC, and I'm gonna port the TGV's over some time so there might be a few stages to it with dissasembling, porting, then reassembling.

I dunno the O-rings looked good because there is very low miles but I will bring them next meet and you can see what you think. I got the gaskets I need. Im not gonna be in the country untill the first so probably after that sometime. I will keep you posted.

That will take the longest I think. I still need my intlet, my O-rings, and 2 gaskets for the up pipe. I will probably have the gaskets so we can put the turbo on but the inlet is pretty exspensive.

Didnt end up swapping the engine...But ive been driving it for a whole week back and fourth to work...40 miles a day and she seems to run pretty good!! I guess ill run it til spring/warmer weather and then swap the other engine in! Sooo Garage day is a must come spring time!!:spin:
