So my project my be changing back to trying to run the OEM ECU.... Now to actually tell you what's going on.
I"m basicly completely rebuilding my 97 Impreza Outback Sport.
H6 EZ30R engine
5EAT auto trani that came with the engine in the 05-07 Outback and LGT's that offered it.
Dash swap over to second gen 04-07 fitting in the Legacy's AC controls and stereo to mate up with the Chasis harness from an 05 Legacy I"ll be doing(or having done if need be. Will be new not salvaged.)
Just about full go over of the car suring up weak points or weaker points.
Headers and Exhaust made/modded up.
Brakes all around upgraded(presuming I don't have a budget fall out completely I"ve already got Brembos lined up.)
And the problem is......?
ECU. I wanted to go with the new Hydra Nemisis 2.6 as it can run the engine, variable valve timing and all. Cost... for right now too much. I orignally wanted to try to be the first to run this off the stock ECU in an Impreza and first in a GF period. From the cost standpoint right now I think I can work the OEM better even with the Imobilized bits that's been the setback/breaking point/deal or no deal on others doing this swap. I know people run 05+ EJ257's with everything from junked STi's and most flash out the Imobilizer crap and a few other issues. I need to either find help/info on doing this with the 05 Legacy EZ30R ECU or get help from someone working in a Dealership(Say like Randi? Please?) to help me get things initialized with the key, ignition, imobilizer, and bits. So what'cha got in way or info or help for me?
