View Full Version : damn wet seats!!!!
I just looked at the back seats of my car and everything is soaked!! i can't find where the water is coming from. everything else is dry, the doors, roof, back of the back seats, trunk, but the floor is a little damp. I could ring the water out of the seats. What really sucks was my accessport was sitting on the seat. It's soaked. along with other misc. cables and stuff i need. Anyone know if there is a drain or something from the roof that maybe could have gotten cut or disconnected somehow and is now just draining all the water onto my back seat??

Jon, sorry to hear about that :( maybe you should do something like what Jay, my friend suggested to a Dover guy:

You know him by the way, he bought lots of lobsters from you last summer.

I would guess the rear windshield near the top. Is the parcel shelf wet?
I took it all apart in my buddies garage a little while ago and couldn't find anything that really stood out. The only thing i can find is that behind the passenger side door seal, it's all wet. It's gets really windy at my house during a Nor'easter and i was parked in a different way than i usually do. The wind would blow right against the passenger side door and maybe right through the door seal. EVERYTHING else is dry in the car. It's just the bottom rear seat and a little on the passenger side floor under the carpet. I left the seat off for now to dry out and also to see if it gets wet anymore.

My trunk got it a little bit.
damn.
I hope both of our issues was the force of the driving rain.
Well, the accessport still works. Tired it out a little while ago and it turns on, reads boost and will flash RT maps still. So i guess i got lucky on that bit. Now i'm going to go see if there is anymore water in the car. It's been sitting for about 2 hours now in the same position it's been sitting in when i think it got wet. Hopefully it'll be dry still.

Sorry to hear about the wet seats. My car got loaded with snow this winter when I was drifting out on the lake with the windows down. Only happened once, but it was enough to make things damp. At least your AP is still working, and the seat is easy to remove/install, and its just water. Now bake at 225 degrees for 20 minutes and let sit...j/k. AP=money not lost to this not-welcome weather.
