04 wrx heater core leaking??

I've put about 1900 mileson my wrx since i bought it. started gettin a coolant smell every once in a while, went and drove the kanc sat night turned the heat on and it's misting coolant vapor out the vents? I know the heater core is bad but is this common? looked in alldata pays 3.5 hours to R&R. Guess I'm buying a heater core tomorrow!! Gotta love cars!

100k. it is def leaking changed it today. found a little trick to get it out. had in done on 45 minutes
