Has anyone heard good or bad things about the Eibach pro-kit springs at all?

What is your thoughts about the future? Ever want to go to coilovers?

i gots them, but regret it. id do coils if i were to go again. The make loud dung sounds when you turn the wheel sharp. I like them, but for the price i paid $700 with AGx struts i should have spent the extra 300 and got coils, these springs and strut combo dont do much but lower the car and improve the handling, you still need a sway bar. With coilovers i think the sway bar is still a must have but the body roll is just not noticeable

Also as a thought to roll around with. I had springs with kyb shocks. I thought they were okay but then I upgraded to coilovers.
The difference is night and day. The AGX and springs were turd-like compared to the coilovers. The bilstein coils are just as comfy to ride around on than the kybs and the bilsteins are double the spring rate and no cushioning on the tops either. I have solid adjustable tops front and back.
Take the money you would spend on springs and save it. And keep saving for coils. Maybe when your times comes my Bilsteins will still be available for sale and you can buy em!

Eibach pro kits are good if you dont want to get coils. They have a good stance and great rates too. Eibach is a great company that puts a lot of time into developing their products.

This might sound nasiocish, but what are your plans with the car? You want performance or looks, or a little of both? Do you plan to auto x or track? Is height important, etc?

look into ground control. they use eibach springs but its almost a coilover setup. oh and there pretty cheap.

Money is tight right now and I basically just want to lower the 'ole girl so she fits the new rims nicely. I would like a little tighter ride too, but not too much. I don't plan on auto-Xing anytime soon, just daily driving til next year when I finish my payments.

I say screw it then. Don't waste any money now. The car looks good as is and is fast.
You will just regret wasting your money on those springs so just don't and you wont have that regret later.

^^ I disagree. It doesnt seem as if you will have the need to spend the money on coils. If it is not going to be raced, there are no need to spend 1k + on coilovers. Its too expensive of an upgrade if you dont need them. STi struts with a good spring combo will work great for you and your car, especially if all you are doing is spirited/daily driving. For example, I have STi springs on my Tokico D Spec struts, and they work well for the autoxing I do. I can compete with all the cars with coils set ups and such. There is no immediate need to spend the money on coils unless you want a cool G ride, which you dont seem like that type of cat. Prodrive and cobb springs work well for looks/rates.

My experience with Coilovers? Always look at the pring rates! I had a set of Megan Racing coilovers. Good price and great track set but too stiff for daily driving. Also I'm actually likely getting this same setup with the springs. The guy I'm selling my coilovers to is selling this and I might just work it as a trade+ cash. Coilovers can solve a lot of high end problems traction wise and leave you not needing any other suspention mods but it's more worth it to take the extra cash and put it into sways, and endlinks, and braces. I"ll be running the Eibach springs with KYB GR2 fronts and agx rears, with bugeye sways and Cusco tower braces(weren't on with the coilovers) while I work on getting my swap running and smoothed out. Might go back to coilovers in the future but only something with a nice spring rate. Hopefully with a progrsive rate spring if I can find what I want. Also those new wheels you got if they are a larger diameter with low pro tires you'll feel it just from that too. I'll be runing 18x7.5 Konig Absolutes with over sized tires for a while too. It's all about the over all of the car. If you read through Bu11dog's post you'll see and reading up on stuff you'll see to take your time and find what's right. Good luck.
