Well, went out tonight to take some pictures in and around Manchester after spending the weekend cleaning her up a bit. Threw some red Rockblocker film over the orange blinkers in the tails today, and really like the new look. Anyway, the shoot was largely a failure, as I have no tripod. This lead to more than half of the pictures coming out super blurry. I learned my lesson, and will be picking one up before I try this again. So here are some of the pictures that looked OK.

I know! That was my favorite stop, really is a shame i couldn't get anything to come out. Was in a parking lot along the Merrimack River on the other side of 293. There are a whole bunch of mill buildings over there with a lot of good spots to take pictures. We will have to set something up to take some good pics as it continues to warm up (Terry :D). Speaking of Terry, don't know how familiar you are with Manchester since you work down here, but that was outside of UNH Manchester, if you know where that is.

17x7.5 Torque's in Bronze. None of the pictures really show the bronze well. I love them though, so much better than the plain-jane silver look.:)

Haha, I just noticed the signs in the background lol. Good thing I'm not working with the Rockingham County Sheriffs any more and they don't patrol the airport any more, because we would've arrested you on the spot sitting there!

:orly: Is that actually a punishable offense?
Anyway, yes that is the airport. And thanks for the compliments, I was able to find some really good spots just cruising around. I had a few more, but the shots were so bad it wasn't even worth posting them up. I'll be back out soon armed with a tripod. I need a good shot under that bridge, definitely the best area I found.:)

you might have been considered a terrorsit for pointing something at a plane.
TrickyDik
04-22-2008, 05:15 PM
Yea it's punishable because you're in a no parking zone at an airport controlled area. We would've just told you to move along unless you were more suspicious then normal.

Ha! I made it a point to include it in as many shots as I could...:spin:
So Tricky, you can sit in a van under an I-95 bridge but I can't take pictures in an "airport controlled area?"

Mostly because I'm better then you,.
Being under the I-95 bridge and parked is no more a violation then sitting in a car on the side other the road any where. Suspicious, yes, illegal, no more then any where else. Airport controlled area with "no parking" signs posted, very illegal, very suspicious.
But again, it's pretty much because I'm better then everyone else, duh!

Well duh. But aren't most highways lined with "Emergency Stopping Only" signs? And as far as I can see it, there are worse things I could be doing there than stopping to snap a few pictures. Next time, I'll avoid including the "No Parking" signs to keep my fellow SCS cops happy.:)
Side note: If you had a good eye, there was also a picture beside a "Pay to Park" sign, and I was taking up 2 spots! Rebel, I know.

LOL. I would just try to avoid being out near the airport parked in a no parking zone. You see how much they freak out about the parking at the drop off zone at the terminals, think about how much they freak out about seeing someone point an object toward the runway in an area where vehicles shouldn't be stopped lol.
I could care less. Just worked there with the Deputies and know how much they have to check out stuff like that.

Well, went back to the bridge for some pictures in sunlight. Unfortunately, the light was shining right where we were shooting. Brought along a better camera and a tripod this time. Oh, and another GC.:D

Yes sir. Right across the street from their lot. It was real nice out there today, as I imagine it will be for the next few days. If we could have gotten there before the light came under the bridge, it would have been great. One of these times, we'll plan this out a little better so we can get a few more of us Manchester-folk together. This was sort of a spur of the moment thing.
Also, we were constantly being flagged down by others in subie's over there. If I had some cards, I'd have passed them out. Only had my NEAWD cards with me, so word of mouth about SCS will have to do. We were even found by Bill from Belknap Subaru (meet setter-upper) who informed us there will be a spring meet fairly soon. For anyone who shows to this meet, the next meet at the track is free. Any of you Lakes Region guys have any more details about this?

I haven't heard anything from Bill as of late. But when things happen I expect I'll hear about it. We told him to sign up on SCS but I don't think that happened.
Is that the TOMIMOTO-mobile along side yours Tim?

Well yes. As far as I know, UNH D has no highway, river, or mill buildings.:) Skid's in Manch anyway, so I just assumed he meant UNH M.

Well, tossed the coupe wing aside for a taste of the wingless look. Would look even better with a debadge, but I'm afraid the paint on the trunk is too faded. Anyway, I'll have to do a proper shoot soon. Driveway shots deserve a :hide:.
