So after tons and tons of searching and talking with turn in concepts. They put me together a package that'll make me happy for at least this season. I didnt want to spend more than a grand, but didnt want to buy the 1000 dollar coils. I went with Tokico D-spec struts, washer mod, adjuster extenders, and RCE yellows. Pretty pumped! Got a hell of a deal on them! All I am going for next is camber plates, then gruppe n top hats! Tell me whatcha think!:D

Got the struts, washer mod, and adjustment extenders. Springs are coming shortly thereafter. :) Guess I did decide to get em.

what else were you thinking of doing before going with this?

Wait and save money.... heh that didn't work....

I started reading about how they make a Ground Control kit for these struts, which will be right up my alley in another 6 months. Then I will have a completely adjustable setup with my own custom rates, for less than a grand and much better than any $1000 coil setup youre going to find.

Yellows came in last night when I got home from my shop...hopefully being put on sometime next week early in the week. If Jamie doesnt want my STi springs, they will be up for sale for very cheap....like, very cheap. Let me know if you are interested. I have had them for about 30k miles now, and bought them with 800 miles already on them. They came off an 06 STi.

Got the yellows in today with very little problems. Will post before and afters later. Overall, the best springs I think I could have gotten. Turn in is amazing, they are perfect as far as stiffness is concerned. I have barely driven on them and already love em!

Found a great deal on some used RCE yellow springs in the NESIC classified thread. 210 bucks is a killer deal for these springs. Another 280 will get you 04 STi struts!

Here (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1595389) is the link!

so you're going with springs instead of struts?

Is this a classificiation move on your part?

I have them already. I have RCE Yellows and Tokico D Spec Struts. Have had the struts on now since about august, have had the yellows for a little over a month now. I can basically do anything to the car at this point and still stay in my class which is Sports Modified. Next step really is full race, but that wont happen unless I hit the lottery. SM gives you basically free reign for any mod to your car. As soon as you modify your ECU you are technically considered SM.

OIC.

you're just changing springs on your coilovers?

No, ok I will explain. I got these (http://www.maperformance.com/tokico-d-spec-adjustable-shocks-struts-wrx.html) from turn in concepts. I put my STi takeoffs on them for starters. I then saved for these (http://racecompengineering.com/item.asp?subcategory=Springs) (the yellows). That is my current setup.

They are basically coils minus the inverted tube and height adjustment, and I paid about 850 bucks for everything. Its a nice setup, now I just need camber plates and a PSRS and I should be all set.
