just got my new 04/05 tails and did my version of the jdm mode.

its very easy, just take out the bulb and put them in new places. you have to cut the tape that holds the wires together so you have enough wire to switch everything. heres how you do it tho...

if you need any help, id be glad to help, it takes all of 10 mins at most if including taking out the lights.

i'll miss the tint, but this way i dont have to be afraid of getting it trouble from the po.

i'm still thinking that i'm going to very lightly spray tint the reverse lights tho. close to this, just a lot lighter...

Yea I'll need help. I shouldn't be near wiring of any sort.

Those Virgirnia ones look good.

Stock Bugeye look good too. All the new ones have the gay rice streak. Then the 2008 is even worse.

Loooks wayyyy better than the bugeye tails man....nice mod...hope all worked out well...not a huge fan of that tint though, but thats just my opinion

I got the mod on mine, and so does mike. It looks really nice. Look at the pics in the winter pics thread of mikes and mine to get another looksie. I also think that the 06's dont look that bad, they grew on me a bit. I think they aactually look hot on the white cars.

terry, did you move your blinkers as well? i'm thinking about moving them back to the stock location. not sure yet.

Blinkers and Backups are in the stock location. The running lights are the Circles. Brakes are the outside and inside!

I 've wanted to do this mod for months, but it it's hard to get my hands on a pair of 05's because I really don't wan't to trade my 07's. I still have plans for those.

I wouldn't man. It lookes much better without the tint. Everytime I see a member on Nabisco with the reverse lights tinted, It doesn't look right. If anything, spray them red to match the rest of the light. Or just get some silver coated LED's.

i think i am going to put the turn signals back into the stock location and get the silver coated bulbs, but i still like the tint.

i don't know yet tho.


terry, did you cut into the brake light to make the inner section brake as well?

so with the bugeye bumper did you end up cutting it? and do you have any close up pics where the tails and bumper come together. i might have to change my wagons tails. The ass is looking way out dated.

I think wagon tailights are diffrent. try looking on scoobymods for the wagon tail light swap.

i haven't cut yet, but im going to. it still looks good even without it cut.
