Hey all, I finally finished my painfully expensive rebuild, car is running so sweet and I couldn't be happier. My Spec clutch is da balls mang! What a difference from stock. Once tuned, I'm going to NED and she's going into the twelves.

So where are the local RI meets at? :D I want to show off my "all go, no show" lgt. I might ask Diz to paint my interior pink for me.

I did 4032 forged pistons, rings, main and rod bearings and a complete timing kit and a Spec clutch.

you should make a "members journal" thread :)

I went with 4032 alloy from Woosner. The 2618 alloy has very little silicon content and they are really meant for drag/nitrous applications since they have a limited number of heat cycles they can withstand before getting brittle.

The 4032 allowed me to run almost stock piston to wall clearance, absolutely silent when cold.

I should do a journal, I have pictures of the whole build, including the head work.

Since you are not running nitrous the 4032 pistons will last you long time?

I went 83,000 mile on the stockers, I hope they last. Then again, nitrous is always an option. After Bren does my tune I plan on a CO2 IC cooler/sprayer next or at least a water sprayer for the IC plus a knock warning light kit with my fuel cut defender.

(don't give me any ideas  )
