EGR delete?
so how do i go about this the easy way? my 97 LGT 2.5 drinks oil and blows smoke when i hammer on it, and gets horrible mileage. i plan on doing a full rebuild when i get the loot. but this might save me some oil and gas mileage? till then?

depending on miles, egr delete may not cure as much, but it always helps..
first thing I do away with in any car.
the physics bung is absolutely horrifying. It is legal in maine to do away with it.
The problems, if a chemical half life gained, takes a long time to get out. I have heard some refer to souls in the engine and ghostly ghastly strange descriptions... ALL EGR.
more than a pun: It is a SUICIDE.
the ej is hidden, I only know of the one at #4 cyl under intake, in intake, and routed to head..ya know, the cylinder right in front of the drivers life.
some racer advice is a better answer. Some even tig weld it in forever...
check pcv system. (smoke hammering on it)
