if you look it up... it already got **** canned before they even had a chance due to law suits from a different company :unamused:
kinda strange they want to try a more realistic approach.
I feel they should hire a chinese martial arts film director and give them freedom of creativity and a crap load of money and let them go at it.. I would feel they would do a more adventure style martial arts film then what the original was.. Like kinda explaining each others stories a lil better. Explore the lands and such a little better. Ect ect ect

Don't be to sure. That lawsuit was old, and brought by some nobodies. That trailer is brand new as of today, as far as anyone knows. Warner Bros. owns the MK franchise now, and I'm sure they've been throwing their weight around.

Update: Actress Jeri Ryan, the actress portraying Sonya Blade in the video, has confirmed (http://kotaku.com/5558850/that-mortal-kombat-trailer-jeri-ryan-explains) via Twitter that this is a short film created by a director to sell Warner Bros. on his Mortal Kombat pitch. "It's not a game trailer. Actually was made for the director to sell WB on his vision for a reimagined MK film," Ryan says on her Twitter page (http://twitter.com/JeriLRyan), adding " I did it as a favor to a friend. No idea yet what WB's reaction to it was." Thanks to Zimnick for pointing us towards Jeri's updates!
Yes, thanks Zimnick for stalking Jeri Ryan's twitter for this update
Some one posted this on my FB last night
Rather bad ass
But how does Sub Zero and Scorpion who I thought where brothers then become enemies and not brothers after Johnny Cage's death
I think I am missing something, or is this just re-writen from the original story line
Also if kabal isn't in this, i will be very :unamused:

Scorpion and Sub Zero aren't brothers. Sub Zero is Sub Zero's brother. There's an older one and a younger one. The eldest was in MK1, the younger in MK2. The elder Sub Zero is killed at the end of the first tournament by Scorpion, hence why the younger Sub Zero and Scorpion are enemies. /dork

Anywho that was different from the trailer I found a couple months ago. I'll go looking for it again in a bit. I had it posted with like 5 other movies on my FB wall.

I dunno. I've heard several different, conflicting rumors regarding what this trailer is really supposed to be for. And this wouldn't be the first time someone in Hollywood purposely spread false info regarding an upcoming project. But even if this is the truth behind it, given the publicity this trailer is getting, then this movie is already a done deal.
