2008 WRX rocks the TD04. VF46 is a LGT turbo.

Yeah through 2008 for the wrx is puny, tiny, minisculeTD04 :)

Great numbers Christine! The torque is what matters anyways not the HP.

Christine, you shouldn't be using a FMIC with such a small turbo. :hide:

Lol j/k!! Great numbers and maybe this will keep you satasfied long enough to find your ideal turbo :)

TD04's put out some great numbers on other cars as well. Torque IS where it is at.........still thinking of that new turbo now?

We can make close to 300ft lbs on a VF52 with that fmic and hold it for most of the power band. After that torque peaks it immediately falls down steadily to redline with the TD04. It simple can't move enough air on that setup. That's with the Grimmspeed solenoid locked shut.

haha, this had me for a second, I was like tapering to 8.5 psi??? I assume because this is running a FMIC on TD04?

Dizzi, ck out this post on LGT.com http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/fs-swpa-vf52-turbo-low-miles-great-condition-138633p2.html

He wants alot of money for it but he may get sick of the abuse and let it go cheap.

Watch that forum everyday, VF52's up for sale there all the time.

Goooood luck.

I understand....but why did the TD04 on my Saab 9/3 HO 2.0L pull so well up high? Less displacement? That thing kicked butt over 4800 rpm. Stock, you could see the boost increase 4-5 psi after 4800.

That's all it will do, same with a Perrin TMIC car.

2L to 2.5L. Better flow heads etc.

I can get a TD04 to hold 14psi to redline on a 2L WRX.

Saab limits boost down low you should have seen full spool at 3000rpms but in that case, you'd do a nice burnout too.

Because it's the same turbo Subaru had been using for a while. Tried and true.

Diz, I don't know what your power goals are, but the blouch 20g on my 04 STi is downright sinister. If you want to see what I mean I'll give you a test ride sometime. Just got it tuned yesterday with Bren and it is amazing.
