I decided to use my for sale add an change it into my member journal. I had a change of heart. Im keeping my baby.

My step by the end of the month. All the cancer will be removed, An the car will be re-painted all one color. This, is going to be a daunting choice that I will live for, for a long time. SO post your color sudjestions bellow please! with an example!

The story, I looked forever to find one of these, an I finally did. It was a a/t but I dont care. I love my car. I bought it a year an half ago at Ocean subaru. I dont want to point fingers an say they did it on purpose. But when I bought the car the engine was clean. No oil on it at all etc. I have the car on the lift for the first time an to my shock an dismay I find the leaking headgaskets. So I quickly had those repaired as soon as I could. Also put oversized pistons in it to stop the subaru chain saw rattle.

The mods:
Interor:
full wrx seats front a rear ( have original leather seats too)
front speakers are replaced with infinity kappas rear are alpine type s
Clean on the inside, NON SMOKER.

Exterior:
STI v5? Hoodscoop. (thanks brittany)
Roof done in a black vinyl wrap, dont like it? tear it off. No harm done
Hella 500f fog lights w/ kart boy foglight brackets (these things are amazing in storms)
JDM rear spats
Rally armor classics ( NOT UR)
Rear window visor, Kinda neat/dont see them often

Performance engine
Ganz flow CAI
NGK plug wires
Borla headers
COBB HFC
OBX CAT BACK

Performance Handling
Front Whiteline sway bar 20mm I believe (thanks rob)
Rear Ralitek sway bar. 22mm I believe. W/ all ended links stout mounts etc.
Tires are a generic all season

Pictures as she sits now.:

I think a burnt orange will go great with all the black accents on the car.

Obsidian Black Pearl or Java Black Pearl

<--owned both subaru colors and love them.

You get a ton of comments when you wax and the pearl pops out :)

The problem I see with black is it's a dirt magnet. The SVX is sweet when clean... When clean. Otherwise it's just "nice"

You lucky man.

Luck isnt it brother, Thats almost 800 bucks in parts, before anyone says i should of gone coil-overs. Whats the point. Its not a full on track car. I like ride comfort still, as it is a daily driver.

Plus its still 200 bucks less then entry level coil-overs.

I am also curious of the results. I deciding if I want to go with lowering springs. I'm afraid where I live, it might be too low.

Alignment every season FTL.

To the OP: Nice car. I've wanted those exact suspension bits for my legacy for quite some time. Get some pics after the install. I'd like to see how much it drops you...

I will defiantly get pictures of the setup when shes done. I have read nothing but good things about kyb gr2's an the eibach lowering springs, Its apparently like riding on rails but smoother.

as to everyone else, thanks for the complements, she will be only getting better. After the paint work an body work is done. I've decided to stick with the OEM STM paint, cheaper that way. an the hood scoop will be matched stm. But I think Ill leave the roof black.

its a pain to keep clean but if you can it looks awsome people cant believe the jbp is a stock color and the fact it was on the 04s makes it more rare to see

I'll pm ya Bratman. It took some fitting now I'm looking for a way to mount lights to the top without drilling. Like a c-clamp of storts...just something that will bend around a 1 or so inch tube an bolt to it self using the foglight mounting stud.
something like this http://www.mcmaster.com/#shaft-collars/=b7iz2c

But big enough for the mounting stud to go through an be used instead of one of screws. I hope that makes sense.

Finally an update on the lights! Look great dude! Any better pics to see the drop in the front? I already have springs in my 00' OBS bit the "white" EiBachs looks like the front could use a slight bit more drop.

03-20-2011, 08:02 PM
Yeah Ill get a picture, your talking about the lowering of the front springs, right?

Seraphinwolf
03-20-2011, 08:06 PM
Yep. I kinds like how far the rear dropped cause if the "sag" wagons get but the front could by personal preference go a little lower.
