I think my car is retarded

every time i have the a/c on it make duuurrrrr noise around 2000-3000 rpm's. depends when the car shifts then it does it at idle sometimes to.it really anoying and some times it doesnt stop for a couple minutes. does any one know what would cause this problem. thanks

Check the AC charge level, if it's low it could cause annoying things to happen. Either that or your AC compressor clutch is going out...

i would agree on the compressor clutch not grabbing. It maybe attempting to close or open, however it works but i would think it has somethhing to do with the

Check lines for contacting strut tower/firewall, etc.

Do you have the noise where it sounds like gnomes are running around in your dash after shutting the car off too? lol... Serious question it just sounds funny lol, I've yet to figure out where the sound is coming from. My WRX never did it

so i think i figured out whats wrong with it the a/c pressure was 45psi. i think the clutch is over working itself?? so i let off some of the pressure and it doesnt do it no more:D
