NASCOCK......
dude I wish I had your Patience and extra time....but then thats probably why the haters hate. Its easier to go out and spend daddy's war bucks on parts than to DIY. threads like this remind me of Cali in the early 90's. people thought it was stupid to bolt a dustbuster and some dryer hose on an intake, now turbo kits are kewl. if you ever want to earn extra cash you know how

I used Guimonds auto body on Manchester street... they didn't mind it when I took in just my trunk lid to get painted.
But at the time I did know someone who worked there... still they did a good job and the color match was right on

The only problem with this Forum is you guys can't stay on topic. How is this Spoiler coming Rob? how did you come up with the demesions? Did you measure out a real rear spoiler?
Robk0000

It should be coming along great, only i ran into a similar problem like before. Apparently, you have to stain or finish wood prior to applying the PVA release, otherwise, you get no release...This sucks major balls. I just wasted a good chunk of Cf and fiberglass...But im going to peel it off by blasting it with Co2, and then a crowbar. It wont break, but it may have a scratch or two. Anyways, ill have it pried off in about 2 hours or however long its going to take.
As far as diemesions, The oringal Sti wing is about 4"s wider, so if i really wanted to. i could buy one on ebay and cut it down and walla. But i like DIY because then theres one of a kind. I measured it out using a cardboard template right off the back of the car. I made it so its 1" off the window, and follows the curvature of the rear window, meeting the side pieces which go with the body lines of the door window. In the end, it Should come out looking awesome!
ill post up when i rip it up with the jigsaw.

I got the wing portion out, the top piece needs a good chunk of sanding, cause te pva release is stuck to it, it actually came out pretty easily, But here are some pics, of the after rough cut.
I used the clips to hold it together as i cut so, dont mind them. You get the idea anyways.

not coming out to well, I just trimmed one side off the wing itself, and looks like one side is just not curved enough, i attempted to fix this by making it a little less wider, but still doesnt work out well. Dont really like it at the moment...I think im going to have to reattempt...this sucks. :(
ill get some pics anyways.
