For those that don't know, I experienced a tragedy in February. There was the big wind storm that knocked out power all over the state and had trees down everywhere. Well, at the time it was about 1030pm and Randy had just started a thread on here titled "my whole house is shaking". At the same time I saw a lot of people on Facebook putting status updates about how severe the wind was. I hadn't even noticed until I saw these things. Then I went to my door and looked outside. I saw one tree that was swaying about a foot back and forth at the base. The first thought I had was that I needed to move my car in case a tree fell. I spent 10 minutes moving the car around, I'd put it in one spot, look up, and decide I didn't like it, then do the same thing over. Finally after 10 minutes, I settled on a spot and was happy. I went inside and at 10:57pm I updated my facebook status stating "I just spent 10 minutes in the yard moving my car to avoid falling trees". At 11:15pm I was standing by the door and heard a large oak tree fall. I looked outside and sure enough, it landed pretty square on the roof of my car.

For whatever reason, the insurance company opted to fix the car. Please don't post in here saying "I would've fought with them over that and bla bla bla bla bla". I honestly don't care anymore. I'm just happy to have it back. Trust me, I tried to argue, but in the end the simple point was that the damage just wasn't enough. Again, I do not care anymore, I'm just happy to have my car back.

The point of the thread is to show what an INCREDIBLE job Portsmouth Auto Body did. I dealt strictly through Adam at the desk who is on this forum as AGLSTI. I cannot even begin to thank him enough for all the help he was, right from the start. One of the biggest things about PAB, lifetime guarantee as long as I own the car on any work they did, so that in itself is huge. I don't know the tech that worked on my car, but he did an absolutely incredible job. And the paint shop is amazing. There is absolutely no noticing that what happened, did. The car looks as good (if not better) than it did at 1030pm the night of the wind storm.

PAB's shop is incredible. Two MASSIVE buildings, one for all the rebuilding and one for paint. My entire interior had to come out during the repairs and was sent down the road for reconditioning (gotta get the name of that place too cause they do detailing). Adam was extremely helpful and I'm sure that towards the end I was pretty annoying emailing him or calling pretty much daily. Even still, they didn't rush anything. They knew I needed the car for Sunday the 9th and got it back to me on the 7th. But still, they didn't rush it, I'd say they got it 98% and I take total blame for it not being complete. It needs to go back but it's only for some very small things, things that I can get away with not having for a week.

The car is running awesome, no knocks or ticks or creaks. Again, I can't say nearly enough good about PAB. I would totally recommend them to anyone that ever needs body work done and I'm sure when I get my body kits, I'll be having them do the paint and maybe even put them on. I think that's all I have for now, I'll post the pictures in the order that things happened.

Thanks again to Adam and the team at Portsmouth Auto Body,

Connor

Glad the car came out so good man. If I hadn't seen it in person myself today I'd never believe it after seeing the before picture.
They did a damn good job, and seems like it was definitely worth the (long ass) wait.

What was the total cost of the repair?

So far its at $12,200, but I think by the time it's finished, it'll probably be around $12,700 to $13,000, give or take.

Oh, and btw, the real ***** of it all was that not even a single twig fell in the spot that the car was originally parked

There really is no such thing as the auto body shops.

I've taken my S to has managed to always miss something on car.

Your best bet would probably be auto body in Diamond but they are on the pricey side.
