y'all forget BF1942 one of the first and premier FPS games...I found a quote once upon a time regarding classic FPS games, they pretty much had this to day...
BF1942 and its mods have been wrecking productivity for almost a decade now

Speaking of...
I finally got my copy of Bioshock 2 yesterday. Good game, but not as good as the first. This is also my first true FPS on a console, so I'm burning through ammo much faster than I'd like.
Also, for those that don't already have it, CoD:MW2 is free to play on Steam this weekend.

Top 5 adventure games. I know most of you don't even know what an adventure game is, but us old-school gamers used to play them before the genre died in the late 90's

Here's my multiplayer FPS list:
1. Battlefield 2
2. Desert Combat mod for Battlefield 1942
U still have these installed? if so I run/own and operate a Desert combat 27/7 El Ala CTF server... come play but watch out, it has been around a while and attracts a SAVAGE crowd.
Re-install UR BF2, update it and look for AIX2.0 and ALL the maps U can find. It is a free mod and much better than anything EA games has put out in a while....

Wow, the genre has been dead for a while, but I didn't think it was THAT dead!
Classic and new adventure alike. Morrowind and Oblivion are considered RPG's, not adventures. Adventures are all story based (although some have basic combat or quick-time events) with no character advancement through skill points. If a game does have a lot of action but still a very strong story, it's usually considered an action-adventure, like the Resident Evil and Silent Hill series.
Adventures are typically point-and-click, although some have direct control (Tales of Monkey Island, Indigo Prophecy), or some are based on the "slideshow" style of gameplay (Myst).
Syberia is a great example of an adventure games - Syberia 2 was awesome as well in case you haven't played it - as are the classics like The Longest Journey, the Monkey Island series, the King's Quest series, Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango, the Sam & Max games, the Gabriel Knight series, etc.
There are hundreds of amazing adventure games out there that I'd bet most of you have never played or even heard of. All of those I listed are some of the top-notch games out there and are definitely worth playing. I'd easily consider them all in my top 25 games list.
