I don't know if you guys have listened to the news today (more specifically ESPN or the worldnews) or heaven forbid logged onto NASIOC and saw the front page, but Colin McRae died today. There are a couples articles linked below for you all to check out. Either way, very sad loss for the rally racing community and enthusiasts in general, not to mention his wife and daughter and rest of extended family that survived him and his son.

That guy is my hero... by far one of the most skilled drivers, ever. His contributions to the sport of auto racing will ensure that he is never forgotten.

fricken helos...not meant to fly. they have killed many a good driver. hate to bring up nascar, but two greats died on the way to the track back in the day. it was exciting watching him...

yeah helos, planes, cars, guns, it's all the same, lots of great athletes have died for a lot of sad reasons, this one just hit closer to home for us suby guys

Jesus, I get back after a month of no internet access, and this is the first thing I see. Tragic. I made a lot of fun of the guy since 2002 or so, but he was still one of the greatest drivers of his time.
