I'm going to run the Foz at the strip tomorrow evening. Their rules call for Snell 95 or later helmet for all sub 14-second cars. Does anyone know if they are OK with a M2000 or later motorcycle helmet?

Helmets must meet Snell 95 or new guidelines.

M2000 is newer than M95. Should be good. I'm not sure if they care about the age of the helmet or not.

Thanks guys! I gave 'em a call and they confirmed that a motorcycle helmet with a Snell M2000 rating would be fine.

They are usually pretty strict up there. I took my rice rocket up there back in 03 and ran an 11.17 @126.5 mph on my first pass. They called me over and said I couldn't make anymore passes unless I had full leather. The rule is 125mph and up. I argued what the hell is the difference between 125 and 126mph, but rules are rules.
Damn, I thought I was going to dip into the 10's for sure that day.

My current helmet is M2000, and they accept it. So you should be good with that.

They had a guy running low 10 second passes on his 'busa in shorts and a wife beater at the jacksonville speedway.
