Just wanted to give you guys an idea of a fully bolted TD04 2.5L in the 08 WRX looks like. This car breathed exceptionally well - however is limited by the stock TD04. 18psi, 11.1 afr, timing that a normal stage 2 08 wrx would not allow.

The car had:

K&N Typhoon
Perrin Catted downpipe
SPT dual catback
HKS Blow off valve
Forge UNOS MBC
Perrin Top mount Intercooler

pretty sweet numbers for the t04.

Rob - you want to overlap this with your curve? The top end suffers (obviously) on the TD04, big time.

No i see the differences, Peak torque is nearly the same rpm, just lacking in the upper end.

i really like the tune you put on my car now and im thinking its going to kick ass for autox

what do you think a similarly built 2.0 would put for numbers? Im trying to make up a baseline for when my swap/build is complete. my setup will be a little different when it first goes in, but Ive been wondering what a baseline "get the damn thing running, and see whats wrong" tune would put up.

No way to say for sure if there are mechanical problems holding it back :D

However it should be similar minus about 50wtq and a little less hp.

thats at least a decent ballpark. before it goes in I'll be sticking some bigger injectors in and sending the cams for a tiny bit of a regrind, plus a few little airflow things here and there and some other stuff. the baseline tune will be a low boost tune to make sure things are running right (unless my new tranny is in before the engine.. which I doubt ). dont worry.. I have a feeling sometime in a few months you're going to have to deal with this damn wagoon of mine anyway haha

with the stock turbo don't worry about cams and injectors.....

oh I know.. but the td04 will only be on for a few months (and if I dont happen to find a bigger turbo cheap enough beforehand). either way it WILL get a bigger turbo and a 3"TBE/etcetc.I just figure while the engine is sitting on a stand in the garage I might as well get to the little bits that I want to do while its all easy access.
