I went for this 8mbit plan through twc a year ago.. and thought "awesome, 8mbit..."
windows updates was the only place that used it.. :unamused:

today the bill jumps up to 50 bucks.. and it stabbed me like a thorn..

I went back to very slow, may regret it...just to not pay them too much..

anyone use the 750k plan? it seems my internet in the browser, http, videos etc.. it is there at all times anyway.

The frustration is crazy phone lines at my rental, cannot go to dsl. :(

TWC seems to own bangor, I cannot even find another broadband.

bitter.... we just bagged TW calbe TV for just the same reason, the price suddenly crept up to almost double what it was so we told 'em to screw...

The net we over pay for because of the wifes werk, she needs the speed...

8mbit for $50/mo? Geez. I get 20-30mbit down & roughly 7-12mbit up @ $50/mo. It'd be higher but I don't have the money to spend on a Docsis 3.0 modem right now. If you're gonna bump down to a 750kbps plan, might as well just switch to DSL.

If you're just browsing pages that's more than enough. If you're gaming, uploading lots of pictures, or downloading music/movies/etc. than you're screwed.
