I knew this could be done, but this site is a great second opinion...
as some may know,older legacy, allthe gl dl loyale etc, they need to hack a strut to change height... thought I would share..
I caught on to how close to disaster I could get, when after welding the right rear, I noticed gas tank filler tube was cracked open, a foot away...nothing happened...and then I saw that guy on "davids farm" (you tube) welding a gas tank with gas in it... :unamused:
quick stabs, let cool, then repeat...
got expensive struts? don't even scrap them.
