ok so as some of you know im buttoning up my 02 wrx/96 legacy swap. we tried to run all wrx wiring and then just splice my connectors on when needed. wrx motor, wrx ecu, wrx fuel pump controller, wrx fuel pump. everything else is 96 legacy(tranny, interior, etc). so my o bd2 connector came in today so i scanned for codes...

P0500 - speed sensor
im using a legacy speed sensor, think we have a missing conection from the speedometer to ecu...could that be part of whats causing it to run in limp mode?

P0183 - fuel temp sensor
i dont have one, only way to fix is add one?

P0447 - Evaporative emission control system vent control low input
what can i do for this, i cant find crap on this code that, that would specifically help me

P1230 - manu. fuel air metering
?...just read something it could be due to something with the fuel pump controller...any other ideas?

P0245 - wastegate solenoid
just searched and found something that said you can toss in a 10k ohm@ 0.5w across the wires? anybody hear this one?

P1400 - Fuel tank pressure control silenoid valve circuit low input
dont have one, do i need to get one?

Wow, I thought my codes were bad. Umm, the only one I've heard of would be the fuel temp sensor one, which you need a wrx fuel filter cage for.

If any aren't really important, you can have them flashed out.

I wish i was more swap savvy. :(

Well as of right now I'm treating it as an 02 wrx. So the fuel stuff is just a little tricky but looking at it as a wrx I can get a pretty good jist of things. So if you look at it as a wrx what would your thoughts be?

I'd have to poke around and stuff to be a little more confident in a guess. how about this week some time? i'm right across the river in hudson.

what year ecu do you have in it? the 03 and up has all the fuel tank sensors and crap, where the 02 doesnt, you should be able to flash out those fuel tank codes because they arent needed

From what I was told it's a 02 ecu, I should probly look it over maybe even vin check it for a year tho haha, good to know tho, thanks

ok so from googling for the past 3hrs this is where i am

so i found this thread for P1230, figure its a place to start...
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1625690 (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1625690)

but yea....
P0500 - just need to splice a wire
P0183 - install a fuel temp sensor or tune it out
P0447 - i guess just tune it out
P1230 - i need to look over my fpc wiring(see the link i posted above)
P0245 - im going to try that resistor trick other wise ill figure something else out haha
P1400 - get the pressure sensor or tune it out

everyone agree? haha

^ should all work..

P0500 - FIXED, spliced a wire, no more fuel cut
P0183 - going to tune it out
P0447 - going to tune it out
P1230 - still need to look over my FPC
P0245 - FIXED, used the 10k ohm @ 0.5w resistor, and it worked
P1400 - going to tune it out

BUT...got scanned again and now i have a misfire on 3 outta 4 cylinders :unamused:

also i could hear a small vacuum leak last night, gotta pop off my IC(it seems to be under it somewhere)
