Bumped, I got more Shiot and going to finish this once and for all tomorrow after work, i have the hood scoop, the mounts for it as well, and i just need to fabricate some type of metal mount to attach it to the hinges...Homedepot Has the answer :)

project starts up again, tomorrow at 3 PM!

Heres the plan, Drawn out for ya.

Top:
Paint on scoop, and gel coat on Carbonfiber
Hoodscoop
Carbonfiber 2 layers
fiberglass 2 layers
kevlar 1 layer in 3" stripps along edges
fiberglass 2 layers
Corematt 1 layer in 6" strips
fiberglass 2 layers
Carbonfiber 2 layers
metal brackets for mounts
Kevlar lining the brackets
fiberglass 2 layers

Bottom:

Anyone want to place bets on how much it will weigh in at?

im going with ~25 lbs

**fine print**
winner must be within 2 lbs of actual weight, money upon lotto drawing shall be paid in increments of $1 spread through a 1 year time period. If the winner would rather recieve one lump some, 25% is deducted.

Progress bump,

Got two more layers of 11oz chopped mat on there yesterday, Pulled the mold off the hood and its pretty strong, well atleast it doesnt flex much, but still not good enough, as soon as i let it cure somemore, im going to trim the excess off, then add 1 more layer plus a few strips of kevlar, then one layer of CF, and after that i will do coremat strips and fiberglass, plus a final layer of CF. Since i dont need the hood anymore for this, im going to add the next layers during the middle of the week, hopefully...the laying of the material shall be done by next week if i stay ontop of this and have no service calls in my area.
