so i went to 5 guys in farmington yesterday for the first time ever, and it's only a couple blocks from my house.

I show up at 6:30 and there's a 15 minute wait just to get anything. PEOPLE EVERYWHERE, it was insanity. THIS is why i've never gone there before. BS. so i leave.

i go back at 9, not a single person in the place. so i get a couple burgers loaded with just about every topping and a "regular" order of fries. It took me 5 minutes of eating fries out of the bag just to find my first burger. The burgers were ho hum, but the fries are indeed bangn.

If i want good fries I'll go back to 5 guys. If i want a good burger I'll go to joey garlics or the BBQ joint on pine st. in plainville, both those place's burgers put 5guys greaseballs to shame in terms of both size and quality. 5guys doesn't even have a fried egg topping option? no bueno.
But again, the fries are so frign good it's evil, and there's no way a human body can fit 2loaded burgers and the full load of fries.

I dunno man, the burger I had at the one here was awesome! I'm not usually a burger person either. I will admit, the place is crazy packed since it just opened, so there likely will be a wait, but the line moves pretty fast. And yes, the fries are evily delicious. You should come anyway!

Five guys really is a place that sells amazing/huge quantities of fries and you can get burgers on the side. The burgers aren't BAD, actually I think they are pretty good, but no mouthgasm imo. I will be at this meet though!

Well honestly speaking... New Britski to Coventry is probably about 30-40 mins at 5:00, then probably another 40 mins to Enfield barring terrible traffic. So we'd get there somewhere around 7:00 if thats alright......

I played one of the best games of pool in my life saturday night at whitney's in hamden while my buddy's band played. I ran 6 balls in off the break and then finished it up next turn while he only sank one of mine. It was crazy. Something to do with the $8 pitchers of shocktop that I was drinking by myself i think...

So I had a 5guys burger at about 10 last night. Much better than the first one I had. I figured out why I don't like them that much, they're grease balls. So much grease it was dripping everywhere and making the bun soggy. But a few gentle squeezes wrung out some of the grease overflow.

This time I got a bacon cheeseburger with mayo, fried onions, mushrooms, and tomato.

I am going to try Five Guys this week.

Not to hijack this thread, but have any of you been to Plan B Burger Bar in Glastonbury, CT? I went on Tuesday night for my third time. Those have to be the best burgers that I have tried. I just did the bacon & cheese & carmelized onions. We try a different appetizer each time and this time we tried the fondue. It came with apple slices, fried green beans (green fries), tater tots and pretzel bites for dipping.

I usually get the small cheeseburger with ketchup, mustard, onion, pickle, lettuce and mayo at Five Guys. I agree they're grease balls, which is part of the reason I get the small one...they're great for a sometimes burger when you don't want to go to McD's or whatever
