Detailed thread title for search-ability.
My front left turn signal is having issues (intermittent problem where it will flash off/dim/off/dim and quick flashing instead of dim/bright/dim/bright) so I'm going to replace the bulb. The manual says it "May be difficult. Contact your Subaru dealer." :unamused:
I'm sure it's not bad, but I'm curious what the best way is if anyone knows. Do I pull/move the battery, remove the headlight assembly, etc...?

I'd guess and say pull the entire headlite. That's how it was on my beetle, and a newer F150. Silly new cars.

Same with the marker light on my 04. If the grill was any indication, pulling it is going to be a PITA (read: bumper removal) compared to the 04 though. :unamused:

Oic, much like the newer Legacies.

Have you considered just trading it in?

I just had it off last week for the Supertones, so no big deal, but it's an annoying design anyway.
Anyone who knows?

Dont pull the headlight... You'll be pulling the bumper off if you really wanna do that.
Yank the battery out and have fun. Its tight but manageable. I've replaced mine.

I'll give it a go tomorrow. How tight is tight? My hands aren't huge, but not the smallest either.

pull back the front portion of the fender liner, stick a light in there and look around. you should see it.

I actually did that yesterday when I got out of work and was able to reach it. :)
Unfortunately, after reaching up and finding it, I turned the blinker on and... it started working perfectly and has ever since. I'm glad it's working, but now have no idea what was going on.

probably a loose connection. happens all the time. take marker lights for example..... 9 times out of 10, you smack the bumper/light assy, depending on where it is, and it'll come back on. i'd just replace them anyways, and bend the contact tabs in for little tighter fit. :)
