Ok sooo the motor I JUST PUT IN MY CAR decided it was going to do the exact same thing the last motor did! still runs but makes HORRIBLE sounds.... :unamused: I ran mobile 1 fully syn 0w-20 with mobile 1 filter when it first stared up it made similar sounds, I just thought it was a stuck valve or lifter cause it went away after 15 secs. Any ways again I am subieless............. I have run a few options through my mind went and looked at a few new cars but the down payment would be about the same as a swap, I located a wrx motor complete with turbo and engine harness. I would obviously need to do a harness merge.
Here comes the questions/walk through!
What parts of an wiring harness would I need to pick up and or can the wrx ecu plug into my RS plugs. Would I be better off running a newer ecu say out of an 04 05 or are 02-03 open source able?
Fuel pump I think I can get a walbro pretty cheap what else would be needed?
This is super tight budget because I just blew 1200 putting all new seals and gaskets in the other motor so yes I am going to run my rs clutch and tranny :unamused: for the time being. The reason I ask about open source able is so I can go in a set my rev limiter at 4000 so I cant grenade my tranny :D
YES I do plan on trying to merge the harness myself I have been reading articles ALL day about it. It looks more time consuming then anything, and good organizational skills. But if anyone knows anyone with parts they are willing to let go cheap due to my situation it would be greatly appreciated. Any help tips are going to be greatly appreciated!
