SHOUTOUT to BrenTuning for an Excellent job, well done! I had a couple minor bugs in my setup the first time I took the car to him and he pinpointed them out to me. I got them taken care of and he was able to fit me in his schedule rather quickly. He made sure EVERYTHING was safe before pulling out the real power the second time and I am very happy with the performance! Never thought my car would pull the way it does with my setup. His prices are very reasonable as well. He is pretty down to earth guy and very professional about his work. Very easy to work with and I definitely plan doing more business with him.

Regards,

Just went down last night. I swapped out my HKS DP for a Helix Bellmouth and swapped out my stock turbo inlet for an Agency Power 2.5 Metal inlet. Bren worked his magic again and now the car is very angry:devil:.
I'll let him do the explaining on exactly what he did though. Once again I'm very happy with the new found power!

After boost leak testing Akini's car during his first tune he had a moderate inlet leak and an extremely restrictive downpipe. It made good power but didn't feel like it should - especially in the top end.

His stock inlet was cracked and seeping air through the worm clamp, and he had an old school hks style downpipe with the flat flange. This caused some major reverse maf scaling to get the car to run right first go round to be driveable, along with the car being choked up top to about 15psi at redline on a VF turbo due to the DP design.

He replaced the HKS with the helix downpipe bellmouth and stock inlet with the AP inlet to combat the leak. First, we rescaled the maf back to normal range for the metal inlet and then we had to reset OL fueling back to the the desired targets. It went about .5 point rich with the new mods.

From there, boost now comfortably tapers to a natural "VFxx 2.0L" 17.5 psi at 7000 rpms, and carries the powerband out nicely as a result of the downpipe breathing, so ignition timing had to be retuned to accommodate the extra boost past 5000 rpms.

The graph is over the stock 02 wrx baseline.

what are the mods on the car? Those number are what iam looking for.

VF22/STi TMIC
Pinks/Walbro 255
Uppipe/downpipe/GReddy EVO full 3" exhaust no cats
SPT Intake, 2.5" AP metal Inlet
Forge UNOS MBC
BKR7EIX plugs

and a most importantly a strong motor.

These cars vary from 275whp to 305whp with a reasonable tune depending on how the motor likes it since these cars have higher mileage now. If you want to crack 300 easier start with a TD05-20g.
