I know turbos are by far the most popular forced induction for the boxer engine. Either bolting on an aftermarket kit of swapping for a WRX motor. But I'm curious if there are any supercharger kits out there. I prefer superchargers to turbos.

^or you could be like that guy on nasioc that had the twinturbo supercharger wrx. he had some kind of switch to cut power to the super charger after the turbos were making full boost.

Yeah there was a SC'ed WRX. It dyno'd at under 200HP :rolleyes:

Supercharged engines are typically higher compression than turbo motors. That is mainly the reason a WRX kinda sucks with a Supercharger. A car that starts N/A would be better to supercharge in most cases since superchargers offer less boost then most turbos.
There are many styles of superchargers though. I hate roots style. They are big and inefficient.

I believe he never got a solid dyno cause he blew up his previous engine...

there is a guy on nasioc his name is reddevil and he has a amg supercharger and a turbo on his old legacy he has a big thread on it. check it out
