Check it out.

GameSpy: Activision Looking at CoD Subscription Model - Page 1 (http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/call-of-duty-6/1068560p1.html)

Looks like the cash-cow Activision Blizzard is potentially planning on turning the COD multiplayer franchise into a pay-to-play service much like World of Warcraft. I hope all you MW fanatics don't mind taking it up the a-hole with an extra $10-15 monthly charge to get your daily dose of online fragging.

And I'd be willing to bet if this is successful, Halo is soon to follow.

Being an avid MW and MW2 player if they do that to the next one I wont buy it. MW2 is good enough for me I will just keep playing it for free.

maybe 20-30 a year, not 15+/month. I will go out side and play!

Eff that.

Dedicated servers = costs nothing for them as gaming clans take over and run their own servers = no need for that stupid **** that is IWNet.

Maybe they had other reasons then they led on about for giving up dedicated servers in MW2.
