So here are the pictures from the removal and build of the motor.

So this is the current state of the car. With the help of Shawn(AVI8OR) We have gotten a lot done today, all we have left if to undo the bell housing, and the mounts and it will be ready to be taken out. The fuel injectors have been sold, and the TGV's are out.

So the motor is all assembled, The oil pan is back on, the headers and uppipe are all on. The turbo is on as well. If you read above you'll know I snapped the AVCS line, which runs from the passenger head to the other side of the head and then to the turbo's oil feed line. I still have to re-tap one of the holes on the drivers side head for the water neck then redo the PCV and cooling lines. Then I need to put the fuel rails back on. The TGV's are on with new gaskets. I put the OEM Sparkplugs in and put the coil packs in as well

So here are a few other pictures that I snapped.

UPDATE!!

So I got my stuff from HKS. I got the HKS Megaflow Intake, and HKS 3" Down pipe to mate to my HKS Carbon Ti Exhaust. :)

I Picked up the Oil return line from Subaru

My turbo inlet should be shipping soon, I sent a PM to a guy on Nasioc and picked one up for 30 shipped, and he never got around to shipping it. So he will ship it, express today and refund me the shipping for his troubles.

My AVCS line is currently at P and L motorsports still getting built and should be shipped out soon. The all we need to do once I get these parts in, is put the AVCS line in, put the turbo inlet in. Put the intake manifold on top, bolt everything together and drop her in.

After we drop her in I need to tow the car up to Ballistic Motorsports to have Scott redo the intercooler pipes for the stock turbo, weld on the HKS flange for the HKS blow off valve. Then I need to load the Stage2 Cobb map to the car and then we will un plug the coil packs. Rotate the engine a few times, to lubricate everything and make sure its good. Then plug the coil packs back in then start her up and let her run again.

I keep saying it should only be a few more weeks but with the new job I started I haven't had much time to work on it, so me and Shawn only have Fridays and the Weekend to get progress on it.

I shipped out my old VF39 because the kid is trading in his car!

Just called Scotty and he will let me know when I can ship the car up to him, to get put back together.

Downpipe needs to go on. The Bell Housing shield needs to go on. The intercooler pipes are all in the back of the car, and they need to be re-routed for stock location. Because before they were for the Rotated setup.

So I would say middle of the week I am hoping.. and also my Talon is sold on friday!

Pardon me for only jumping in now, but why are you doing all this? Particularly, why go from rotated to stock location? Just curious.

Cheers.

Low compression and needed a new head gasket. With rotated setup the car had a very small power band for power. He didn't want to really deal with it pretty much so sold it off. I'm sure Dan will chime in if I missed anything or got anything wrong :)

Basically it narrows down to this.. For the while I had it, it overall wasn't what I wanted.. I went into buying the UR Rotated Setup under knowledge that is was a GT3582R Kit from Ultimate Racing for 2300.. After I had purchased the kit I came to find out that it wasn't a GT3582R but a T3/T04S which flows the same amount of air as a GT3582R but uses a Journal Bearing Turbo and not a Ball Bearing turbo such as the GT35R. Also used EL Headers and wasn't happy with sound or fitments. Just didn't like driving it, it had the power band of a Supra, and Sounded like a Honda. Now I know, why not just put the stock headers on? Well, the headers were V-Band together to the the Uppipe so I had to locate an uppipe and just didn't have the time or money because I lost my job.

While I had it. One day I did a pull on the highway and the boost controller shut off or something and I ended up hitting 35PSI, it was having an over boosting issues in higher gears like 5th and 6th. Thus popping the head gasket. So now I am back to stock location, and just want to drive the car. Because the passed 6 months I have lost so much money in cars, I just want it to end.

Traded a mint 97 Civic for a 92 Talon TSI(one on here for sale) and ended up blowing the motor in that. Not on purpose just kinda well happened. So I lost 2000 there and the money I lost from the kit adds up to almost 4k wasted on dumb moves. :(

Ah, that's what I spotted last week on the lift at Ballistic. Nice!

Nope wasn't me lol, that was probably Matt's EVO

Gotcha; sorry to hear though. Was your turbo kit a twin-scroll setup that you needed equal-length headers?

Nope single scroll. Kid had them just cause he liked the sound.. I hated it.

I see. I wouldn't mind equal-length headers if I needed it; say for a twin-scroll setup. Otherwise, yes, I much prefer the boxer rumble of the unequal-length headers.

Sorry to hear about your situation and having to sell off the rotated kit...

I actually bought your UR rotated intake on Nasioc :D I ended up selling that intake with my 35R kit to go stock location...then ended up with another 35R kit

My friend has the UR T3/T04S kit on his STi and him and I are Identical for power and fitment was great. Too bad you didn't have the same experience with your STi, it could have been a mean little monster! Good luck with the car!
